In this report you are going to learn how you can build a six figure business or just simply generate six figures by selling one book.
This can be either a physical book or an ebook. In the past, I have grown my business selling a physical book but I am changing that over to a digital version. You can get your own copy of my book for free by clicking the image below.
There are pros and cons for both, but for this report we shall focus more on the digital ebook because it requires less cost and less work to deliver, people today are used to digital products and what will follow will also be digital and based online.
This is a very popular business model online which is being used more and more. The reason it is popular and people are using it more is that it works.
The book is not expensive either. The recommended price to sell the book is less than £10. You can maybe charge more depending on the content of the book but ideally, the cheaper it is the better it is.
I sold 30,000 copies of the book (below) which I am now giving away for free, at £19.95 which generated over £598,000 in sales!
So how can selling just one cheap book earn you six figures or grow into a six figure a year business?
You might be a bit skeptical because we all know how hard it is to become a successful author. You cannot write just one book and make six figures… well you can, some people have done it but it is incredibly rare.
But that is where the big difference lies. The book in question is not a fiction book and you are not going to be a fiction writer.
The book is an information product which helps solve a problem someone is having and if you do it so that you are the author you get the added bonus of being seen as the expert and gaining a kind of celebrity status which brings its own rewards.
Being seen as an industry expert is incredibly powerful, just ask Russell Brunson and Jim Edwards. They are the Apple of their industry… people will pay over the odds to buy their products even though you can learn or do the same for cheaper elsewhere.
I’ll write a special report about the power of positioning yourself as an expert soon.
That one book becomes the entry product to a well planned out funnel which has several other higher priced products.
The other products will be all relevant to the book itself and will be the next stage in the ladder of transformation.
The price of the book is really to cover advertising costs.
To grow the book into a six figure business you will need to scale up the selling of the book and so you will need to run adverts on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
You should not expect to make any money from the sale of the book itself. If anything, you may make a loss. But that is ok… because the profit comes from the backend sales.
The book funnel will have a series of products in place which will be sold over a specific time period. There will be a couple – or more – which will be offered at the point of purchase when anyone buys the book, and the others will be offered later via email.
You see, when someone buys a book online from a book funnel, they are asked to give their email address so that they can be emailed the book itself or a link to a page where they can download the digital book.
Once they have given their email address, they are added to an email list which the book seller will email regularly with other useful information and the other relevant offers.
At the point of purchasing the book, as the buyers are going through checkout, an offer bump (OB) or one time offer (OTO) is revealed. The purchaser has the opportunity to buy these other offers.
Not everyone will buy these offers but you only need a small percentage to take up your offers to put more money into your pot. These extra purchases will take your ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) into the black. You will now be making a profit instead or breaking-even or making a loss.
So now you have made a profit selling your one ebook, and you now have an email list to sell other products too.
As I mentioned earlier, the products in the funnel need to be relevant to the book’s content. So if the book was about ‘writing profitable sales letters’, you would have a funnel of products which were all about writing sales letters.
Please note, this is an example. Prices and the amounts of offers vary due to the individual choice of the funnel owner.

Imagine that you spent £7,000 running ads and from those ads you had 1,000 people buy the initial book, you would have generated £5,970 in sales leaving you with a loss of £1,030.
But that ad spend has given you a list of 1,000 who have bought from you. And if your book is written in a way that it shows the reader that you do indeed know what you are saying and doing… it will lead to other sales later down the line from the emails you send.
Also, at the point of purchase, book buyers are shown the offer bumps and the one time offer, what if you had 50 people out of that 1,000 buy one or more of those products?
Let’s say that all 50 buy OB1 at £17. That now adds another £850 to your income reducing your ad spend loss to £80.
What if 30 of that 50 went on to buy the OB2 at £47? You have now generated another £1,410 giving you a profit on your ad spend of £1,330.
Everything after this point is now profit.
So let’s say that 10 people bought the OB3 at a cost of £97 and 2 people bought the OTO at a price of £197.
That now gives you a further £1,364 profit to add to the other £1,330. That would be a total profit from the point of purchase offers of £2,694.
This does not take into consideration any sales from the follow-up email funnel
You may only get a couple of people from that 1,000 buy the one on one mentorship product at £9,997, but because those two people came from the same ad spend you have now added a further £19,994 to the profit which has come from the sale of that one £5.97 ebook.
This is only a hypothetical example but you need to realise that the products in the funnel can be bought at any time and not always in a specific order.
For example: someone who buys the ebook only and does not buy any of the products offered at the point of purchase, may purchase other products from your emails later. After reading your book and your emails they will have realised that you know what they want to learn and that your products will be worth their money.
The initial ebook sale had 50 people buy the other products offered at the point of purchase, but after the other 950 people have finished reading the book and read several of your emails, you may end up with a further 100 people buying those products which you are promoting via email to your email list.
And here are another couple of important points to remember:
1 – You will reuse some of your profits to keep on advertising your book and so you will increase the number of sales and grow your email list which will result in more sales. Your email list may grow into tens of thousands of buyers. Take just 1% of 10,000 and have them buying your £1,997 product, you will have made £199,700 in sales. That right there is your six figure business right off the back of a simple £5.97 eBook
You can add more products to your email funnel including past products. The one time offer – Sales Letter & Funnel Web Page Templates Bundle – can be rebranded and maybe combined with another product like the How To Maximise Your Profits With A Sales Funnel and sold as another product at £197 or even £297.
2 – It doesn’t matter what price you sell the products at when you rebrand or combine them because they have already been made and require very little extra work to turn them into a different product. They are essentially the same product but with a different name.
Yes, you will need to create the other products, which shouldn’t be too hard to do when you know a subject well but you are still essentially building a six figure business off the back of one single £5.97 ebook.
The 1 Hour Online Copy Critique Call would not be a hard product to create if you are a successful copywriter. Basically it is a face to face chat about their work and their business. Anyone can do that.
If your product was about web building or email marketing or writing children’s books, you can easily offer a 1 hour call where you give more personal advice tailored to the individual.
When you know a business, industry or niche inside out, it isn’t hard to create a book and a funnel of congruent products. With a bit of careful planning you can create your own six figure book funnel.
It is a lot better than the alternative which is to write book after book and try selling them between £5 and £20 on Amazon.
Is there any business, industry or niche that you know well which could be the start of your six figure business?
