The ‘Buy Low And Sell High For Large Profits’ System Anyone Can Do From Home!

I caught an episode of the new All Creatures Great & Small programme on Channel 5 the other day. For those of you that don’t know, All Creatures Great & Small is a television show based on the popular books by James Herriot.

James Herriot, real name James Alfred Wight, was an English veterinary surgeon and author (I’ve no idea why he is Scottish in the new adaption of the show, he did go to university in Glasgow, but other than that, he is English) who wrote a series of successful books about his life and experiences working as a vet in Yorkshire.

What I found interesting was that the veterinary practice where he worked had a house maid, Mrs Hall, who took care of everything else such as the cleaning, cooking and general house and practice upkeep.

I have written about this previously where I talked about the popular television shows Father Brown and Grantchester which followed clergymen who had a strong interest for amateur sleuthing.

In fact, they were far from amateur as they somehow managed to solve the crimes before the police and were often called upon to assist in a lot of cases.

Both clergymen, like most vicars and priests back in the day, had women who ran the house for them.

By employing someone to do all of the day-to-day jobs, the men were able to get on with the work they were better equipped to do.

The work they did bought in the money (or gods work and crime busting in the case of the clergymen) and so if they were able to focus on it without distraction and without having to factor in the cleaning, cooking, changing the beds, washing pots, shopping, and the like, they were able to focus more and achieve more.

Some people may get offended at the idea and suggest that this is some kind of unhealthy misogynistic patriarchal society, and in the past there may have been some of that going on, but the truth is this is just wise working where one person employs another person to do specific tasks so that they can focus on others.

It doesn’t have to be just men hiring female house keepers, yes it’s true that was more common in the 1940s, but it could also be women hiring men to ‘keep house/office’ while they focus on doing the work they prefer.

The point is this… a lot of time is lost doing small daily living tasks and if you are one of those people who:

  1. Doesn’t like doing those kinds of tasks.
  2. Would prefer to focus more time and effort on the tasks that you enjoy and brings in more money.

…employing someone to do specific work for you is probably a very good idea.

Let’s say that you had a way to make money which paid you £100 every hour, every hour that you spend doing things such as shopping, cleaning, cooking, changing bedding, etc, is £100 lost.

If you hire or employed someone to do that work for you, then every hour they free you up is worth £100.

Let’s say that you pay a person £400 a week to come and do specific work for you freeing you up and extra 2 hours per day, and that you spent those 2 hours each day working… you will earn an extra £1,000 per week.

After paying the person £400, you are left with an extra £600, you are fed and watered, and you have a clean and well organised home.

Sounds good, right?

Many business owners hire personal assistants to help them run errands and the day-to-day stuff so that they can focus on the work that really matters.

Professional sports teams don’t wash their own kits; they have other people do that for them so that they can focus on perfecting their sport.

Musicians, actors, and celebrities have managers and runners who organise their work lives for them.

Hiring home/office help is a great way to get more done because it allows you to focus on the higher earning work while paying to get the lesser worth work done.

If you pay someone £12 per hour to clean your home while you work to earn £50, you are £38 per hour in pocket and you have the work you don’t want to do being done for you.

That is one of the most powerful secrets to success.

Another secret to success is to find specific products cheap, and then sell them for a large profit.

Starting with £100, you want to find an item that you can sell for £200… and then find an item for £200 that you can sell for £400 until you can afford to buy multiple items at a higher price which can be sold for double the purchase price giving you more profit for little work.

Gary Lister does just that, he buys items that he knows he can sell for double the purchase price. He started small and has now grown to the point he can generate £1,263 per week flipping specific items he finds being sold cheap.

PS… There are several reasons as to why people sell off specific items cheaply, Gary has found one item that people are often in a rush to sell off and so they sell it at half the value to get rid of it quickly.

Gary snaps them up quickly, and then sells them at their full value making hundreds of pounds, sometimes thousands of pounds, in profits for a few minutes work.
