From Being Homeless And Living In A Tent In A Park To Earning A Seven Figure Income

The Days Of Begging For Money Should Be Well And Truly Over!

I was going to write about how begging for money should really be a thing of the past in today’s western society.

Obviously, people who are homeless and have mental health issues and addictions to deal with, they may not be able to embrace what I am about to say, but that’s a different story for another day.

Although I will shortly share with you an example of a homeless man doing exactly what I am going to suggest.

I got thinking about this after I was told how Andi, our remote worker in Portugal, had seen a couple of men begging drivers for money as they pulled up at a busy junction in the centre of Coimbra.

I was going to say that thanks to the internet and digital products such as eBooks and online video, we are living in the best period ever of all human history where ordinary people can make money from the comfort of their homes.

I was going to say that even those who are really struggling have the opportunity to make money without the need to beg.

That was until I read that a survey by Citizens Advice suggests that up to one million people here in the UK have cancelled their broadband in the last year because of the high cost of living.

This is sad because broadband shouldn’t be seen as just a luxury which allows us to surf social media, search the web, buy shopping, and stream films.

A connection to the internet is a tool that can help you to make a lot of money.

Anyone who is contemplating getting rid of their internet connection, they should instead use it to generate money, if only to cover the cost of their broadband.

Originally I was going to say that a lot of those who are begging on the streets for money could in fact make far more by creating and selling digital products online.

There are thousands of people making money selling videos, pictures, posters, eBooks, printable items such as check lists, and offering online services.

Obviously, those who are homeless and have no money, they are going to struggle as they may not have access to a phone or the internet. They also don’t have anywhere to work from comfortably… but that doesn’t mean that the opportunity isn’t there.

I’m not saying that it would be easy… but the truth is, the opportunity to make money online is there for anyone who is willing and able to give it a go.

I’ve mentioned Mike Shreeve before; he is the guy who was once homeless and living in a tent in a park who started a writing business from the local library.

He now runs several seven-figure businesses. He is also a high earning author of fiction.

Writing pulled him out of the tent in a park and put him firmly into his own apartment, and he did it by going to the library and using their computers to learn how to write and started his freelance writing business.

Every day I am seeing more and more stories of people who are making tens of thousands of pounds by selling digital products, running online businesses or offering services online.

The opportunities and possibilities to make money from home are endless.

Mike’s example shows that there is no reason why people at rock bottom cannot earn money online other than real serious mental health and addiction issues.

Mike might have been depressed, losing your home and being forced to live in a tent in a park is not good for your mental health, but he didn’t allow it to fester, he used it to motivate him to take action.

Free from any addiction, he was in a good place to learn and work his way out of a hole.

I am fully aware that others are not so good, but that doesn’t mean that the opportunities are not there for them.

Anyone with an internet connection has the opportunity to make money from home. You just need to find the right method for you and get started.

In my previous articles, I have talked about many different ways to make money.

I have even highlighted how to get started building your own six-figure-a-year business without spending a penny of your own money.

How An Accident Led To A $100,000 Monthly Income!

In 2020, when food and drink writer, Alicia Kennedy, was laid off from her job, she started her own email newsletter.

Writing about food, drink, politics, media and her thoughts about the changing world, Alicia named her newsletter From the Desk of Alicia Kennedy.

That newsletter now has over 20,000 subscribers.

I don’t know if they are all paying subscribers but if they were, she would have 20,000 people paying her either $5 (£4.02 ATOW) per month or $30 (£24.13) a year.

20,000 people paying $5 a month would give her an impressive $100,000 (£80,418) PER MONTH!

This all happened by accident apparently.

At first, Alicia was publishing her newsletter for free and had no intention of charging for it; it wasn’t until she accidentally enabled the ‘paid newsletter button’ that she started to make money.

Alicia uses the Substack system which allows writers to publish their own newsletters, it is like a social media for writers, and it claims that it helps people to grow their own publishing empires.

Substrack has the option to add a pay wall to your content which means that people who want to read your best content, need to subscribe and pay a monthly or yearly fee.

When Alicia accidentally enabled that option, it resulted in her having 400 people instantly subscribe to her newsletter putting $2,000 (£1,608) into her bank – minus any fees that is.

Over the last few years, that number of subscribers has grown from 400 to over 20,000 giving her an incredible monthly income.

Whenever Alicia publishes a new newsletter, it is sent to people as an email and also published online.

Email and online newsletters are nothing new; people have been using them for many years, with many making small fortunes from them.

They are easy to run and easy to get started with.

Depending on how much you charge, you don’t need a lot of subscribers to be making a decent amount of money each month.

When Alicia accidentally set her newsletter to become a paid subscription newsletter, she had 400 people instantly sign up.

Imagine that you had 400 people paying you £5 per month… that would give you a cool £2,000 each month… all for writing and publishing a series of emails.

Imagine that you had 1,000 paying you £5 per month… that would give you a rather decent £5,000 each month.

Would you say no to that?

Imagine that you were like Alicia and had over 20,000 subscribers… how life changing would that be?

Alicia’s story is a perfect example of what is possible today thanks to the online domain.

Her newsletters and writing style may be more appealing over others contributing to her success, but the truth is… she was a person who simply started writing and publishing an email newsletter one day.

I don’t know if she had much in the way of a following to start with, but I do know that she started writing and publishing content and then grew her newsletter into the monster of an income that it is today.

An email and online newsletter is something that can be managed from anywhere in the world and is easy when compared to many other forms of ‘work’.

An email newsletter only needs to be written once whether you have only one reader or 20,000 readers.

That one email newsletter could be written while relaxing in your garden, while on holiday, while watching the television, or while listening to some music in your office.

You write it and publish it… and get paid multiple times for that one newsletter

This is a way to make money that is open to anyone and everyone.

All you need is to get yourself set up… then start writing and publishing regularly.

It Took Just Two Hours To Build The Funnel That’ll Make Thousands Of Pounds!

I’ve just had Andi, my techy guy, build another simple book funnel for my business.

There is a new book which I am going to be giving away for free in exchange for a name and an email address.

The funnel has four pages in total.

It took Andi a couple of hours to knock it up.

That included formatting and adding the PDF to the website ready for downloading, creating the opt-in-form and writing a confirmation email, creating a cover image for the book as well as creating a couple of images for a couple of other products which were added to the download page.

The four pages are:

  1. The ‘opti-in page’ with the opt-in form for collecting emails.
  2. The ‘confirm your email page’ which asks people to check their email inbox for an email to confirm their details.
  3. The ‘confirmation page’ which thanks people for confirming their details and thanks them for requesting the book and informs them to check for the email which has been sent to them with the link to the download page.
  4. The ‘download page’ where people can access the book and also see adverts for two niche-relevant products that we sell.

The whole funnel is actually very simple and easy to put together.

As soon as someone adds their details to the opt-in form, an email is sent that asks them to confirm that they do want to join the email list and receive the free eBook – this means that we know they have definitely agreed to join the email list and so we cannot be accused of spamming them with emails, once they have confirmed that, they are then sent an email which directs them to the download page.

People are directed to those pages automatically after they have completed parts of the sequence. Well, apart for the download page, they need to click on the link in the email for that but the email is sent to them automatically.

It is a smooth flowing system and a great way to build an email list of people who are interested in a specific subject.

The system is set up so that the people who join the email list are also shown products they can purchase meaning that we make money ‘passively’.

As the email list grows, I send emails out promoting relevant products and whenever a sale is made, I make money.

It is a fantastic way to make money because it can be done from the comfort of your own home, wherever that happens to be… and you can run it from anywhere in the world.

I, and tens of thousands of other people do it, and you can do it too.

You create a simple eBook or video around a specific product to give away for free or sell cheap, collect emails addresses, send emails to the people on your list… and make money.

Not only is it incredibly easy to build these pages… you only need to do them once.

Flexibility Is Key To Making More Money

There is a big difference between an employee and an owner of a business.

A prime example of that would be coffee shops and restaurants.

I know someone who used to work for one of the big high street chain coffee shops who would always moan about people coming in to order drinks and food during the last half hour of the day as they were preparing to close.

She would often avoid going into other people’s coffee shops close to closing time because she didn’t want to be ‘that person’ who annoyed her and the rest of the staff.

The reason she and the rest of the staff used to get annoyed is that the chain that she worked for, didn’t give them long to clean down after a busy shift and prepare for the following morning.

There was a long list of things to do and as soon as the day ended, they were to vacate the store as soon as possible.

They were given half an hour to clean up at the end of the day which was not long enough and they were not paid to stay behind any longer, so I can understand why they resented people coming in and ordering food and drinks when they were trying to clean and wind down for the day.

The problem is that the opening times are serving times and if they say they are open to 8pm, then the company expects its staff to serve drinks up to that time.

I do think it is a little unfair that the staff are not given a decent time to clean up and prepare for the following day and are not paid to stay behind longer, but that is their choice and it is what it is.

As an employee of that company, the staff do not want to be staying behind to clear away and prepare for the following day if they are not getting paid to do it.

After all, they don’t see their work as their ‘baby’ in the same way many business owners do.

They want to be cleaning during the time they are getting paid and so when the end of the day is closing in, the last thing they want is an influx of people wanting to be served.

I understand that…. But unfortunately for them, it is what it is.

It is different if you are the owner of the establishment.

The other day, Andi, our remote worker in Portugal, went to a small coffee shop with less than half an hour to go.

It is not a big chain store and the two people working there are partners in the business.

There was no one in the coffee shop as Andi and his good lady arrived, they were clearing up for the day and winding down.

Thinking that they would only get a quick drink because they were ‘those people’ who turned up late, they were pleasantly surprised when they were offered the food menus.

They ordered something to eat and a couple of drinks. They finished their food and drinks on the dot the store should have locked its doors.

As their plates were taken away, they were asked if they wanted dessert.

“Don’t you need to close now?” They asked.

“It’s ok,” replied the person serving them.

They ordered two choc brownies with ice cream and strawberries, which they finished within five minutes. They paid up and left leaving the owners to close up and finish for the day.

The coffee shop had stayed open for no more than an extra ten minutes but because of that, they had taken an extra £30 in sales.

They were able to serve and use up food which could spoil as they were closed the following the day.

The fact that they were welcoming and willing to serve beyond their closing time meant they earned more money.

Obviously, they cannot stay open for hours after closing time, they have family to go home to and lives to live, but the whole point of a business is to make money and as owners, they were not going to miss out on a few extra pounds by being inflexible and insisting that customers had to be out of the door by time of close.

The employee who worked for the coffee shop chain here in the UK had said that some staff would even tell people that the coffee machines were turned off and throw people out of the store before the official closing time.

As much as I sympathise with their problem of not wanting to get stuck cleaning up at the end of the day and not being paid for it, if staff in stores all across the UK chased customers away before they actually closed, they are losing the company a lot of money.

I’m not going to lie, I think the idea of owning and running a coffee shop or any kind of place selling drinks and food is a nightmare.

There is far more hard work than what I am prepared to do.

Also, the profits are small compared to what I make selling information products.

Where coffee shops make pennies on each cup of coffee, I make pounds on the manuals I sell.

Yes, they may sell more cups of coffee than the number of manuals I sell, but they need to sell a lot to match what I earn and all of those coffees need to be served by staff.

If I decided to sell just eBooks and online digital products instead, I wouldn’t need any staff at all.

With digital products such as eBooks, there are no physical materials required. No ink and no paper.

A cup of coffee needs a coffee machine, a cup, a spoon, coffee, water, possibly milk and sugar, and someone to make and serve it.

Digital products need nothing once they are online and ready to be bought other than a platform to sell them from, and thanks to companies such as Amazon, Gumroad, Warrior Plus, and Payhip, you don’t even need to have your own website.

EBooks don’t even have to be long either. I have seen people publish stories that are no longer than 15,000 words. The shortest stories are often just 2,500 words long.

They can be written in a day or two.

The ones I have seen were not brilliantly written either, but the authors were making money selling those eBooks for £2.99 or more.

This is something that I think more people can do as a way to make money without a lot of hard work or expense.

Make Money For Free, Starting Today

This week I heard an older couple complaining that their shopping had gone up from £70 to £120 a week, and that was basically for the same order.

Each week they would reorder the same shopping online and have it delivered by ASDA.

They hardly ever add anything new to their order. Their shopping has gone up by £50 a week.

That is a staggering £200 a month more for absolutely nothing.

I also saw that last month (April, 2023) over 700,000 households here in the UK failed to pay their rent or mortgages.

With rents, mortgages, energy, and food prices going up, it is easy to see why people are struggling.

It is fair to say that times are becoming increasingly expensive and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down much.

It’s for this reason that people need to have a second source of income.

One which they can do quite easily that doesn’t rob them of their spare time… or at least not a lot of their time.

The problem is that to make money easily, you generally have to use money, and as we are seeing, a lot of people are struggling to find the money they need to pay bills let alone find the money to start second income streams.

This leads to some hard decisions… do you use the money you need for bills to start a second income stream, or do you pay your bills and stay in the same cycle of struggle and hardship?

It’s not an easy call to make.

This week I read about a woman who was earning between £400 and £630 a month publishing erotic fiction to Medium.com.

She also had a membership where readers pay between £2.50 and £10 per month to access all of her erotic stories.

She also has about 20 eBooks that she sells for around £2.36 each.

I can’t say for definite how much money she is making each month, but I am going to say that it is £1,000 at the very least.

Now, I am not suggesting that you write erotic fiction as a way to make money, I am telling you this because I want you to know that it costs nothing to actually start writing.

It is one of the only ways to make money today that you can start completely for free.

I understand that writing isn’t for everyone.

It isn’t necessarily a fast earner either, it can take a while to build up a following and fan base.

But perhaps it could be used as a way to generate seed money which is then used to fund other money making ventures?

Writing could be used as part of a plan to raise the money required to do something less hands-on later down the line.

If money is a problem for you, then this could be a great way to start generating an income that you can use to invest into other ways to make money.

How To Make Money By Keeping It Simple

Did you know there are people who pay to have popular books summarised?

There are websites and services where people will extract all of the important information from other people’s books and summarise them into shorter easy-to-read versions or audio files to listen to.

Not only is this an interesting business model, it also highlights something that I think is equally powerful…. people want to consume information without a lot of fluff and filler.

People who write books like to ‘fatten out’ their work by adding a fair amount of their own personal story, anecdotes, true stories and case studies.

It can make books more interesting… for some people.

For others, especially those who are busy and don’t have the time to sit and read books but need to consume a lot of new information, all of the fluff and filler simply robs them of a lot of time.

Time is a precious commodity, and some people want and need to protect it as much as possible.

They want the important information stripped away from the fluff and filler and presented to them in the simplest form possible.

They basically want to learn the new facts, ideas and theories fast.

They don’t care where or when the author discovered the idea, or how many years it took for them to get the confidence to ignore their family and act on the life-changing information.

They just want the life-changing information.

So, where am I going with this?

I am not suggesting that you take other people’s books and summarise them particularly, but I am suggesting that you can take other people’s information – as long as it is commonly known – and publish simplified short eBooks and PDF reports.

Your selling point is that what you publish is straightforward, easy-to-read and free from a lot of unnecessary fluff and filler.

This also means that you can write and publish the eBooks faster as there is less to write.

If you can condense a 100 page book into a 25 page PDF; that is going to save both you and the reader a lot of time.

If you can condense a 25 page eBook into a 5 page PDF, then the time you save the reader is worth the price they pay you.

You could even take a whole book and reduce it to a one or two page checklist or cheat sheet for people to follow.

The idea behind this is that you create simple digital products which you put online with a simple sales page and a payment button.

Once online, you have a product that people can buy which earns you money.

As soon as you have one product online, create another.

Or even better… create a membership business where people pay you a monthly fee to receive life-changing information in a simplified manner.

I am a big believer in getting things out to market as fast as possible so that you can see how well it does.

Getting products online fast means that people can buy them from you sooner.

Far too many people are slow at getting things online and that can mean missing out on a lot of potential sales.

I was reminded of this last week when one of my staff bought a load of music from a musician who now self-publishes his work and sells it on the Bandcamp platform.

He spends time in his studio working on a piece of music, as soon as it is finished, he uploads it to Bancamp who send out an email notification to those who follow that musician, those people then go check out the new tunes which result in sales.

It is a simple process of:

Create a product > Put it online > Tell people about it > Make sales!

That musician is making money weekly by simply publishing his new work as soon as it is complete. He doesn’t wait around. He gets it out to market as soon as possible.

He doesn’t spend a year creating loads of tracks which he then thins out to make an album which is finally released a few months later, he creates a piece of music, uploads it and allows people to decide whether they like it or want it or not.

When people go to check out his new music, they also go through his old stuff to see if there is something else they want to buy.

By focusing on creating shorter summarised content, you can get your content in front of people quicker.

A lot of people don’t realise how easy it can be to create sellable digital products or how fast you can have something online generating sales.

By the time I have finished writing this article, I could have a page or two of content that I could convert to a PDF and sell from the website.

I’m not saying that people will want to buy this actual article, but what I am saying is that the time it took to write it, I could have written something that people would be willing to buy.

It’s possible that you could write and upload one new product to your website each day.

By the end of the year you could have a large portfolio of products that people can buy.

Write something, get it online, put a ‘Buy Now’ button on a simple sales page and test it.

I’m not saying that you will make a stack of sales on day one, but you certainly won’t make any sales if don’t put anything online with a payment button.

Creating your own digital eBook and products is a lot easier than you may think, learn more here:

Avoid Hearing… “Pack Your Bags, It’s Time For You To Go!”

In a previous article, I shared the story of the 80-year-old pensioner in America who was forced to go back to work as a school janitor so that he could afford to pay the increase in rent.

That story had a happy ending thanks to the pupils of the school organising a fundraiser which raised nearly $90,000 for the man so that he could stop working and enjoy his retirement.

Not all stories have a happy ending.

As I’m sure you are aware, there is a cost-of-living crisis happening around the world and it is biting hard here in the UK.

The BBC have a show on their iPlayer called Evicted which follows the real life stories of youngsters who were about to be evicted (filmed winter 2022) through no fault of their own other than they cannot afford the increased rent costs.

One young woman named Thai, who was living in the tiniest cramped bedsit in Bristol, was fighting a 66.6% increase in rent from £450 per month, to £750.

£750 per month is more than half of her £1,400 per month wage.

Her flat was tiny… my office is bigger than her whole home.

She worked as a sales and marketing manager for a local entertainment venue and even before the letter arrived informing her of the impending rent increase, she was struggling to survive.

To save on costs, she was eating less and making decisions whether to cook food or have the heating on. She wasn’t doing both.

Thai was struggling to find other affordable properties in the city. Rents were going up across the board.

The area she lived in was one of the cheapest in the city and was an area with a high crime rate and a lot of poverty.

She was emotionally struggling with the idea that she couldn’t afford to live in the cheapest and worst area of Bristol.

She had no hope of affording anything in a better area of the city.

Thai’s mother suggested that she move back to Cornwall, the county she was originally from, but that would only cause more problems.

Firstly, she would have to move in with her parents because the rents in Cornwall were no cheaper, and secondly, if she left Bristol, she would have to leave her job and have no income coming in.

The fact that you could become homeless and then jobless because you cannot afford to live, is quite a depressing thought.

The programme highlighted that 4 in 10 youngsters were paying more than 30% of their income on rent alone.

That is a big chunk of income.

Whatever the solutions are to the current rental housing crisis and whoever’s job it is to implement them is a discussion for another day.

What I feel is important here is that those people who are struggling to afford to pay their rents, need to find a way to make more money, and they need to act fast.

A change in government may help, but there isn’t a UK general election scheduled until January 2025.

That may change, but there is no guarantee that a new government will be elected and if there is, there is no guarantee that they will address the housing crisis…and even if they did… nothing will happen overnight.

The responsibility of not being able to afford rent is solely in the hands of the tenant.

That’s not me passing the buck; it’s just a sensible realisation that the only options available are in the hands of the renter.

If they waste their time expecting help from the state or hoping that the landlord who was forced to put up the rent because of increased mortgage and service costs will lower the rent out of kindness, they are in for a big shock… and a long wait.

The only person you can really rely on is yourself.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you make enough money to survive.

I understand that time is a factor too and that people don’t want to spend all of their hours working.

In one scene the narrator said Thai had just finished a 12 hour shift. I don’t know if this was a one-off or whether she regularly worked long hours, but that doesn’t leave her with a lot of time.

Another person that was interviewed in the programme was a single mother with two young children to care for.

So I fully appreciate that people are not all blessed with a lot of free time at the end of the day.

However…

They need to address the issue of not earning enough money, and if they cannot work more hours or get a pay rise through their paid job, they need to figure out a way to make some more money so that they are safe from eviction.

It is for these reasons that I recommend people consider publishing digital products.

Digital products are great because:

  1. You make them once and can profit from them many times for many years.
  2. A digital product can be made in a few hours.
  3. They sit online 24 hours of every day waiting to be bought.
  4. They can be bought from anyone from anywhere at any time.
  5. Payment and delivery of a digital product is processed automatically.
  6. Money is deposited into your bank account automatically.

Digital products can be sold online on many platforms such as Etsy, Gumroad, and Amazon as well as from your own website.

Digital products can be as little as one page.

Checklists, cheat sheets and printable posters can be one sheet, eBooks and reports can be as little as a few pages long.

They are all very simple to create.

There are thousands of people making thousands of pounds selling their own digital products.

And you can be one of them.

The Sweet Story Of How A 17-Year-Old Makes £4,600+ Per Month

Featured Image Credit: TikTok/thesweetshack_ /Media Wales

I’ve just read how a 17-year-old makes £4,600 per month selling sweets online.

Callum Baker started The Sweet Shack when he was just 15.

Originally he sold homemade cookies but after seeing a few videos on Tiktok of people selling sweets online, he spent £50 of his own money buying sweets and having a simple website set up.

He only had five different sweet products to sell initially, and to advertise them he shared pictures and videos on social media platforms like TikTok.

He now has over 23,000 followers on the platform.

He started with a shelf in the corner of his bedroom, then expanded to two shelves, then moved into the spare room before having a shed purposely made in his parent’s garden from where he runs his operation.

Callum now stocks over 700 products including many sweets which are not available in shops.

Since January 2022, Callum has turned over £74,000 equating to around £1,156 a week, more than £4,600 a month.

He ships between 220 and 250 orders a week, with his mother, and an employee helping to process the orders and run the business.

At the time of writing, Callum is 17 and not legally allowed to drink alcohol or vote, yet he is earning £4,600 per month and has an employee working for him!

I want you to think about this for a second…

He is making nearly £5K a month selling sweets.

He may not be selling exactly the same sweets that are available in the shops… but sweets are available all over the place these days.

As well as most shops and petrol stations selling sweets, there are vending machines in many public areas and buildings.

You would be hard pressed to walk for a few minutes in any British town and not come across a place selling sweets.

Despite sweets being available from anywhere and everywhere, Callum has built a business selling more sweets to people.

Using free social media platforms to advertise his products, and using his website to process orders, he has built a simple easy-to-manage and incredibly profitable business.

Not only is the business profitable, it has been good for him mentally.

Before starting The Sweet Shack, Callum spent some time in hospital with depression. He was at his lowest point when he started the business.

The Sweet Shack has really helped him.

It has given him a purpose in life and he is currently juggling his sweet business with college where he is working towards a career in the police force.

The business plan in a nutshell is:

  1. Offer products people want to buy.
  2. Use free social media platforms to advertise the products.
  3. Have a simple website where people can place orders easily.

That ‘s basically it.

And it can be replicated with many different products. It doesn’t just have to be sweets.

As long as you have something people want to buy and you can sell it to them for more than what it cost you to buy or make, then you should be able to make a decent profit using this method.

If you choose to focus on selling digital products, the processing of orders is done for you automatically.

Where Callum, his mother, and his employee are busy processing over 220 orders each week, with digital products, they are automatically delivered without you needing to do anything.

You can easily and quickly scale a business selling digital products up to a six-figure-a-year income.

Four Men Killed Over Racing Pigeons And An Illegal Vegetable Plot! Seriously?

One of the strangest stories I have heard this week is the sad tale of four men who were found dead on an allotment in Portugal.

The men were all pigeon-fanciers (people who breed and race pigeons) and apparently, they were all killed after a dispute about pigeon breeding and an illegal vegetable plot.

Police believe that three men were shot by the fourth man involved in the dispute before turning the gun on himself.

I had no idea that people could become so passionate about pigeons!

Pigeons and vegetable plots are not the things I would expect people to be murdered for.

I’m used to hearing about murders connected to the control of drugs worth millions of pounds or as a revenge for a past crime such as murder or framing someone for murder…. but never pigeons.

People can be strange and when pushed too far, they can do some really heinous acts.

I mean, seriously… pigeons?

I really cannot get my head around the fact that men were killed because of an argument over pigeons… oh and a vegetable plot… as if that adds much more weight to it!

It does seem to be a common theme being played out around the planet though, someone doesn’t follow the rules, others object and then the person not following the rules goes a little stir crazy.

The other day I saw a clip from the US where a car was parked in a section of road which was both the end of a cycle lane and a spot for disabled people to be dropped off.

Right next to the parked car was a sign saying ‘No Parking’.

A cyclist wearing a camera came up behind the car, and objecting to the fact that they were clearly in his way and violating the laws, he knocked on the boot of the car lightly.

The occupants of the car got out and all hell was let loose.

The driver even pretended that he was ‘packing’ a gun in his pants!

Or maybe the arguing was making him a little excited! It wouldn’t surprise me with some of these people!

The couple in the car were clearly in the wrong, and they were threatening to batter the living daylights out of the cyclist because he ‘touched’ their car… the car that was smack-bang in the middle of a public right of way.

Wrong doers always seem to think that they can get away with doing what they want, but also insist that others are held accountable for doing things they don’t like that are not actually wrong.

A good example of that is the ‘freedom of speech’ warrior, Lawrence Fox, who thinks that it is OK for people (mainly him) to say what they want about anyone and anything, even if it leads to violence, but at the same time uses his wealth to take people to court for saying ‘unkind’ – but factual accurate – things about him.

The guy wants ‘freedom of speech’ and hates ‘cancel culture’, but he’ll happily cancel those who call him out for his hypocrisy…. Hmmmm, interesting.

People are strange indeed… which is why I am in the opinion that most of them are best avoided.

I see no logic in arguing with strangers.

I’d much rather say ‘yes, you are right’ and move on leaving them to stroke their own egos and strut around feeling superior… even if they are wrong.

Arguing with ‘certain’ people in society gets you nowhere.

Mark Twain understood this when he said:

“Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

Sadly, when it comes to arguing a point, a ‘stupid’ person is like a dog with a bone… if only they were that dedicated and passionate when it came to doing something beneficial for their lives.

Don’t get me wrong, if it is serious and important, then maybe I will state that they are wrong and find a way to come to a peaceful conclusion as best as possible.

But I am not going to spend my time shouting at people in allotments, streets, or across social media.

I have far better things to be doing with my time.

I’d rather spend my time coming up with new product ideas, outlines for new books and creating new income streams which will actually benefit me and my family in a more wholesome way.

Instead of falling out with people on social media writing Tweet after Tweet of insults, why not write a book?

It’s far more profitable and beneficial to your life.

A 15 to 30 page eBook could easily generate £30,000 or more for your efforts… depending on what the subject matter is, of course.

Virtually all of the products we have created and promoted have generated at least £30,000… and they really are not that hard to make.

You only need a series of screenshots or pictures (if they are needed at all) and a few pages of text to create a product that people will find useful.

If it is useful to people, they will want to buy and own it.

The BIG Difference Between Successful And Non-Successful People

I’ve just read another article this morning which states that the main difference between successful people and those that are not so successful, is the ability and willingness to say ‘no’ regularly.

Saying ‘no’ is something that successful people do quite a lot.

Non successful people generally say yes to the things that rob them of their precious time and money.

They say yes to more distractions.

They go out with friends, play computer games and/or sports, watch television shows and films more, go clubbing, and go to sporting events.

Their hours are filled with ‘doing stuff’ most of which isn’t going to help them achieve any goals or desires they may have.

Quite a few of those people may be ‘people pleasers’ who are afraid to say ‘no’ in case it upsets other people.

People pleasers fear being seen as a bad person by their friends and family, but saying no to a weekend BBQ party doesn’t mean that you don’t like those people or don’t enjoy spending time with them – if they think that, that is their issue.

Saying no to yet another weekend BBQ party just means that you have other things that you would rather do with your time.

That is perfectly acceptable as it is your life.

If another person takes it the wrong way, that is just something they will have to deal with.

A lot of successful people are single minded and wouldn’t be classed as ‘people pleasers’ as they understand that it is not their job to please other people, that is the job of the individual themselves.

The popular inspirational and empowerment speaker Terry Cole-Whittaker said, “What you think of me is none of my business”.

Successful people in general, don’t really care what people think of them, especially if what they think is wrong and based on something they have misunderstood.

Saying no is good for success and happiness because it frees you up to focus on only the things that are really important to you at the time.

Saying no saves you time and money allowing you to use it on the things that really matter to you.

Saying no allows you to focus only on what you want and need to do.

Life is short and success requires time and so if you are doing anything and everything for everyone else, then you are pushing success further away and reducing the chances of it happening.

Saying no can be hard to do for a lot of people because they fear upsetting people and they feel bad if they think that is what has happened so they avoid those bad feelings by saying ‘yes’ all of the time.

But ultimately, they will never feel as bad as the feeling of regret they will have when they realise that they haven’t enjoyed or experienced the life they wanted because they were too busy pleasing other people by doing stuff that wasn’t really that important.

Saying no more regularly doesn’t mean saying no to everything.

You don’t have to become a hermit focusing on only one thing at a time.

Success can come quicker if you simply balance out life a little better by saying no to a few things and using that time and money on the things that really count.

One of the big problems today is something that has been called FOMO which stands for Fear Of Missing Out.

In a world of instant gratification and social media showing ‘influencers’ living wonderful lives rich in experiences and fun, a lot of people now believe that if they are not ‘out doing stuff constantly’ then they are not living a life at all.

So when they get an invite to do something they cannot help buy say ‘yes’. If they see friends doing fun stuff without them, they feel left out and even rejected.

It’s ridiculous and quite harmful because it doesn’t allow people to even sit for five minutes and have a breather.

They don’t get time to think about what it is that they really want from life… they certainly won’t have the time to work at something that could improve their lives because they are constantly busy.

And as we know, being busy doesn’t always lead to success.

Being busy just means constantly doing something, and that something can be incredible time sapping and detrimental to your life.

There is a lot of power in the word NO, is it time you used it more?

Say no to unnecessary distractions and focus more of your time and efforts on one thing which will generate the results you desire.

If making more money is something that you want, find a system or business model that you like the look of, and focus your attention and efforts on it as much as you can.

It doesn’t have to be forever, just long enough so that you have learned all there is to know and that it is giving you what you want.

Once you are successful and living the life you want, you can then say yes to more because it’s highly likely that you will have more free time.

The Easy As 1-2-3 Betfair System is a simple system that can give you a lot more free time once you have the hang of it… and it won’t take long to get the hang of it.
