I See A Lot Of Potential With This…

Successful businesses fill a need and are often born from people being kind and helping others.

A perfect example of this is Spark Tutoring which is an online tutoring platform for primary and secondary school children here in the UK.

Spark Tutoring was set up by two teenagers, Tim and Emy, who while in six form at school, began to help the pupils below them with their GCSEs.

Tim and Emy gained straight 9s in their exams which I am told is the equivalent to A stars in the old A Levels.

Because of their age, students were able to relate with Tim and Emy in a way that they couldn’t with the usual teachers who were much older.

I learned about this after watching a video on Instagram of a woman whose daughter was being helped with her maths exams through Spark Tutoring.

The woman herself worked in a school and had been a teacher for 20 years and said that she was impressed at the way her daughter was learning.

This was down to her tutor being 19 and having just been through what her daughter was doing. There is a connection that exists between people of a similar age that cannot be replicated by people with a large age gap between them.

She said that her daughter’s tutor spent an hour tutoring her while she (the tutor) was on a boat on holiday.

This is what is great about teaching online, you can do it from anywhere at any time.

Lessons are an hour long with a free 15 minute ‘check-in’ call on a Sunday.

The tutor sets up a task board that the student can access at any time of the week.

The lessons are done via Google Teams.

It’s great to see two young teens running an operation like this. This came from them helping other students at their school who needed help with their exams.

It is a brilliant example of a need being fulfilled.

I don’t know how much it costs for an hour’s lesson, although I did see a similar company online (oddly using the same business name) charging £35 for an offline lesson and £25 for an online lesson.

Incidentally, I saw a dog trainer offering training services at £30 an hour and so it seems that the going rate for most training and tutoring is between £25 and £35 per hour.

That’s not bad if you can find the work, and with people of all ages wanting to learn new skills and pass exams… every year… there is a lot of potential money to be made.

The average full-time employee here in the UK earns £13 an hour for working 40 hours a week. That gives a daily wage of £104 working 8 hours.

At £30 an hour, you can work 4 hours and still earn more money.

If you charge £35 or more an hour you work just 3 hours and still earn a full day’s pay.

If you can find enough clients, you can work as many hours as you can manage and make a decent amount of money.

The other option is that you charge as little as £5 an hour and tutor a group of people at the same time.

20 people paying you £5 is £100, which is not bad for an hour’s talk.

I know of a copywriter, named Colin, who regularly gives live tutorial talks and charges between £5 and £10 if people sign up fast and use a discount code otherwise they will pay over £50 to join his talks.

He records the tutorials he gives and so he recommends that the people who would like to join but can’t because they are busy, to pay the £5 or £10 because they will be sent the recording of the tutorial.

If Colin gets 100 people paying to join the talk or get sent the recording, he has made himself a nice £500 – £1,000 extra… all from giving one hour-long talk.

He does this regularly.

I am sure there is something similar that you can do too.

We have access to the tools and services we need.

Remember I said that the tutor was giving a lesson from a boat on holiday, she flipped open her laptop, logged into the software service they used and gave her tutorial.

The population here in the UK is over 67 million, out of that I am sure you can find plenty of people who you can teach… or at least purchase a teaching that is delivered as a newsletter.

Instead of selling an hour of your time at £30 to each individual person, you could spend an hour creating a newsletter which you sell for £5 per month and sell it to multiple people in a similar way to Colin when he did his hour-long talks.

Creating your own newsletter today is incredibly simple.

It’s Not All Doom And Gloom With AI…Or Is It?

There’s a lot of talk lately about AI tools and software taking jobs away from people because these tools can do their work for them.

This may be true, there will be people who lose their jobs because of AI, but I did read something online that shows that it needn’t be feared too much.

There is an AI tool that will build websites and a young website designer was beginning to panic fearing that he was about to lose his job.

A professional and well-known website designer, named Adam, addressed his concern with the following:

“The people that don’t want to build a website for themselves still don’t want to build a website for themselves.”

He also went onto say:

“There are many things I could do myself but have zero interest in doing it and would rather hire a professional.”

“I can file my own taxes, but I hire a professional to do it right. I can change the oil in my car, but I hire a professional to do it right. I can mow my lawn, but I hire a professional to do it right.”

That is a great point.

These tools may be available, but there are still a lot of people who do not want to use them themselves.

To be honest, unless there is a pressing need to have something done fast, it doesn’t matter whether a person used an AI tool or not as long as the final result is exactly what the customer wants.

A person who wants a decent website building and knows nothing about building websites or AI tools is unlikely to care too much that the website took a couple of days to build instead of hours.

They are more likely to care that they get the website they want and need.

The only person who really cares about the speed is the website builder. The faster he can get work finished, the quicker he can get paid and move onto another website build.

Yes, AI is going to shake up the website design industry, and yes, I am sure there will be website designers that will lose work, but the fact still remains, the people and companies who want new websites will not want to build them themselves.

They will still rather pay someone to do it for them.

AI tools are going to make some people’s work a lot easier, but they may not take their jobs away.

To prove his point Adam said:

“Take a look at all the new AI capabilities in Photoshop. Amazing, right? Going to put graphic designers out of business, right? Wrong! It’s still Photoshop, even I won’t touch it!”

I don’t fully agree with him, some graphic designers will be put out of business as I am seeing a lot of people who are not graphic designers doing their own graphics, and the amount graphic designers charge could bottom.

But there will still be a need for professional graphic designers as there will still be a lot of people who, just like building websites, would rather have someone else do it for them.

It’s a brave new world out there, and those who embrace AI will most likely be the ones banking the most money.

However…

Success Is Dependent On This One Thing…

In a recent article I talked about people who wasted their time complaining and arguing with strangers online.

I want to talk a little more about why this arguing and complaining about stuff is actually bad for your bank account.

For most people, arguing with other people is tiring and depressing.

Unless there is something important to stand up for, arguing usually solves nothing and makes the people involved feel crap.

Only this morning I saw a quick video from a popular UK doctor and podcaster who shared the one tip he said is vital to happiness and has really helped him, which was…

‘Let go of your need to be right.’

And this is usually the driving motivator behind most arguments… the need to be ‘right!’

The problem with this is that being right doesn’t actually achieve much when arguing with idiots.

And it achieves even less when you are arguing with close friends and loved ones.

The mechanics of arguing usually leaves people feeling stressed, drained, angry, frustrated, and even sad.

And those unpleasant feelings are not good for making money.

Feeling any form of negative emotion will have a detrimental effect on your life.

It is so bad for a person’s life; it was listed as one of the seven deadly sins.

Many years ago I recall listening to Giles Brandreth interviewing a member of the clergy who was also a keen historian of Christianity, the historian said that the Sin of Sloth has been misinterpreted over the years and is not about people being ‘lazy’.

It is about people indulging in a constant ‘woe is me’ attitude and becoming stuck in a self-imposed prison of depression and sadness.

I don’t know how accurate this is, the historian was happy to state that it was true, but I really love this because it makes so much sense.

When a person is constantly negative, they can become incredibly low and they can become stuck in an emotional rut of their own making.

They become ‘slow’ (like a sloth) and emotionally low which robs them of the motivation to achieve… or in some cases, do nothing at all.

They become trapped in a prison of their own making.

Remember, the root of all religious teaching is about being ‘grateful’ and ‘praising’ the good.

The true focus of all religions (once you strip away the bastardisation of it and all of the control and power small groups of people have used it for) is to be happy, be grateful, and celebrate being alive.

That is why choosing to be negative and subjecting yourself to long bouts of self-imposed depression and sadness is a sin.

Sadness, anger, frustration, depression and any form of negativity is not good for your health, and it is not good for your life as a whole.

Apparently the word ‘Hell’ was a word made up when translating the Bible into the English King James Bible.

There wasn’t a word that they could use to explain ‘being walled in’.

Hell is an emotional prison where the individual is ‘walled in’ by their own unpleasant feelings.

‘Hell on Earth’ and ‘a living Hell’ were ways to originally describe suffering long bouts of self-imposed sadness and depression from focusing on too much negativity.

These people, think of the typical alcoholic seen in film and television dramas, are ‘walled in’ by their own negative emotions of sadness, loneliness, regret and despair.

The point is this… negative emotions that drain, deflate, and depress people leads to inaction, and complications in life such as alcohol or drug misuse.

High achievers are usually happy achievers.

A happy person is going to be more motivated and willing to get started than someone who is tired and unhappy.

Happiness is a state where humans are in a natural flow of non-thinking.

They are ‘doing’ without distraction.

Mental distraction comes from negative feelings and negative feelings can come from interactions with other people such as when you are left feeling drained and unhappy after an argument.

This is the reason why some religious people ‘escaped’ from the world to live in communes and monasteries so that they can be surrounded by similar like-minded people, and limit their interactions with ‘other people’.

They chose to avoid emotional distractions brought about by interacting with ‘negative’ people or negative situations.

Success comes easier to those who are happy.

Be Happy!

‘Be Happy’ should be your work motto if you want to achieve more in life.

It is important that you get yourself into a happy emotional state before starting any work.

The late and great copywriter, Ted Nicholas, never sat down to write until he was in a good mood.

Before sitting down to write he would sing out loud ‘I feel great’ several times and throw his hands up in the air.

He would do this to get him into the right positive frame of mind… and his reason for doing this?

Millions of pounds!

For Ted, the difference between writing in a great mood compared to writing in an emotionally distracted mood… was millions of pounds!

He created his best work when he was in a good emotional state, and that work was worth millions of pounds to him.

That surely is a good example as to why you should try and keep yourself in the best emotional state possible each day.

Doors are opened, and work is offered to ‘happy’ and agreeable people.

It’s always been that way.

Being happy has a power that very few people truly understand, but those who do understand it; they use it to its fullest potential and live a truly wonderful life.

Kind regards.

John Harrison

PS… Ted Nicholas was a highly paid copywriter who not only made millions of pounds selling his own products, he was paid millions of pounds in commissions for writing sales letters for clients.

One Letter From Retirement

You Can’t Get An Easier Way To Make Money Than This…

I recently received an email from a customer saying that a product was not as easy to do as they expected.

This made me think about people’s different definition of what is ‘easy’.

Sitting at a computer watching for movement on a graph is far easier than having to carry a ton of bricks up scaffolding… physically that is.

Our techy guy, Andi, used to work as a carpenter both on building sites and in workshops and during that time he would have to carry a lot of heavy tools, lift and carry a lot of heavy materials such as fire doors, and he spent a lot of his time working on his knees or squeezed into incredibly small tight spaces.

What he does now is far easier than the work he did while working as a carpenter.

There is no constant noise from loud machinery to have to tolerate and he doesn’t have to breathe in harmful dust or vapours either.

The work he does now is far easier in comparison.

It always baffles him when people say that they couldn’t do what he does as it is ‘too hard’.

To him… it is the easiest thing to do.

Mentally, writing might be slightly more difficult than carrying bricks because there is little thinking required with ‘carrying’, but ‘thinking’ isn’t actually ‘hard’ work.

People perceive something ‘new’ as ‘hard work’ and they allow this to cloud their judgment.

When something is ‘easy’, it is usually because it has been mastered by an individual.

When we are doing something new, it is completely alien to us and due to the fact that we have not spend much time doing it… it appears hard.

And that’s completely normal.

If you drive a car, think about how easy it is now and compare that to when you were young and first learning… it was quite hard, wasn’t it?

It was hard because you were not used to pressing on peddles or changing gears. It was all unnatural, but now after many years of driving it is second nature to you.

When you jump into your car, there is no thinking about what you need to do, you just ‘do’. You start the engine, pull off and drive away at speed.

That comes with practice and from constantly doing something over and over again.

You get better the more you do and when you get better at something, it becomes ‘easy’.

That is something that people need to remember… ‘easy’ is very often a result of constantly ‘doing’ something.

However…

That doesn’t mean that everything is hard though. Like I said earlier, some jobs are easy when compared to others.

Writing is one of the easiest to do as you only have to tap keys on a keyboard.

You can sit with your feet up and write words.

What’s more important than the ease of writing is that there are people who will pay you to read what you write… and you can earn tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of pounds publishing what you write online as you will see in this video here:

Can ‘Pretending’ That Aliens And Flying Saucers Are Real Make You A Lot Of Money?

This week, Andi our Techy Guy, watched a documentary featuring Charles James Hall, called Walking with the Tall Whites.

The documentary is about his life primarily focusing on the two years that he worked as a weather scientist in the Nevada desert for the US military where… he met and worked alongside several species of aliens.

I kid you not!

The weather station that he worked at was not far from the infamous Area 51 where the aliens were ‘visiting’ and working alongside the US military.

Andi tells me that the aliens (supposedly) know of several ‘Earth’ like planets in the galaxy and had asked if the US government would build them ‘hangers’ on those planets where they could stop off and work on their ships.

I don’t know why they can’t build the hangers themselves, after all, these aliens can build ships that travel through space and apparently they live 700-800 years so it’s not like they lack the time or engineering abilities.

Apparently the US military wanted their own ships to take them to these planets but the ‘Tall White’ aliens insisted that they would ferry the US military engineers to these planets.

I wrote more about Charles James Hall in the April edition of our popular Streetwise Confidential newsletter which you can download for free here:

It’s an interesting story but what I found more interesting is that Charles is making money selling his ‘memoirs’ in several books and giving talks around the world.

I don’t know about you, but I think this sounds a pretty tall tale to me.

I don’t want to add any weight or credibility to his ‘Tall Tales of Tall Aliens’ but he isn’t a crazy alcoholic… he is a bit of a brainiac scientist who has photographic proof that he worked where he says he was.

Also, another brainiac scientist named Bob Lazar, claims that he worked on alien propulsion systems at Area 51 and both of them talk about the same propulsion system that the aliens use.

These are not the ramblings of drunken bums at the back of a Las Vegas bar; these are clever scientists who both have proof showing that they worked where they said they did… even though those companies deny it.

In 2018 Bob Lazar’s home and business premises was raided by every US agency under the sun after mentioning that he may have stolen a small amount of Element 115 – the element that is used to fuel alien craft, which is not found on Earth – during the filming of the documentary, Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers.

I wouldn’t have thought that the FBI and other agencies were in the habit of raiding the properties of liars or cranks… do you?

Anyway, I don’t know what the truth is; I am more interested at how Charles James Hall supplements his pension with the books that he published which is why I wrote about him in the Streetwise Confidential.

I Don’t Understand Why They Do This!

I find people interesting, especially those who complain at the emails they receive… after requesting to receive those emails.

I can only assume that is what happens when someone complains about the emails I send which are completely non-offensive.

There are days when I write an email and I sit back in my chair and think ‘that may ruffle a few feathers; I bet someone will complain about it’.

The strange things is that those emails don’t generally get complained about… believe it or not, it’s the ones where I share something factual and useful that ends up with a complaint.

I noticed that I had one complaint about an email I sent recently which explained how we make a lot of money, and then I shared the fact that they could do it too.

There was nothing that anyone could complain about… unless it was a full on card carrying anti-capitalist who had infiltrated my email list.

I can only assume that they didn’t like receiving the email, although they had signed up for them… or they were not happy at what I had presented to them.

But it was all true, and it is something that anyone can get started with.

Yet, oddly, that one email received a complaint.

I guess they didn’t like the subject matter… or, as I keep stressing, that they don’t like getting emails from me which is crazy considering they had requested them by joining my email list.

Still, it happens… and it still amazes me which emails get complained about and which don’t.

I really thought that one was safe.

But that is the nature of business, there will always be people who complain and moan about what you do even if you do absolutely nothing wrong.

People are individuals that work on emotion and opinions and if those emotions and opinions are based on faulty thinking or faulty conditioning in the past, you’ll never be able to convince them that they are wrong.

Once their mind is made up… it’s usually made up for good… well, for bad.

It can be soul destroying when you are being targeted by people who are wrong, or in some cases, simply out to destroy you.

Several celebrities have committed suicide because of self-obsessed and self-opinionated people who believed they had a right to hound those celebrities over something that didn’t actually concern them.

Businesses and business people are often the target of haters who have nothing better to do with their lives.

Part of being successful is to know that these people exists, and not allow yourself to be dragged into a slanging match with a pillock.

As the author, Mark Twain, famously once said:

“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

It is true; these people could represent their countries at the Olympics because they have so much practice.

Sadly, a lot of them also complain that they don’t have enough money.

If only there was something they could do about that?

I mean, they never have the time to do anything, right?

But they do manage to find the time to constantly fall out with people online and send abusive messages.

That right there is the problem.

It is a personal decision that they fail to own.

They choose to waste their time complaining and arguing with other people online.

If they took a step back and took stock of what they were doing with their time, they would see that there was more than enough time and opportunity to change their lives – and the lives of the people around them – for the better… if they used that time differently.

Imagine that whenever one of these people felt the urge to hit social media to rant at someone or write an email to say something that doesn’t really need saying, they decided to do something more positive and beneficial in their lives instead.

How better would their lives be?

Imagine that they decided to write a page of content for a book every time they felt the urge to argue with people on social media, they could have something that they could sell and make extra money with.

You see a lot of people arguing on social media and they spend hours trying to prove other people wrong.

And at the end of it all, nothing changes for either party.

It’s comical at times.

Time is something that we don’t have a lot of in life and so why would you want to spend that time arguing with people when you could be using it to make life more enjoyable and more comfortable?

Instead of responding to people who are talking complete codswallop on social media (not that I’m saying that you do), why not read something that would give you ideas on how to make more money instead?

It makes more sense, right?

I have something that you could read should you ever get the urge to argue with wallies on Facebook and whatever Twitter is called these days… is it ‘X’ now, or something?

Our Most Profitable System Is…

I was taking a look through a few of the manuals that we have sold over the years.

These manuals have made us a lot of money. I am talking hundreds of thousands of pounds if not millions.

I would need to go through the accounts over many years to get an accurate picture of how much money these products have earned us.

These manuals teach specific systems of making money using certain tools or platforms.

The one thing that really struck me was how simple some of these systems are.

They are not teaching a person completer carpentry, they are teaching people to do one or two things using a specific tool or platform, which when done correctly… can make a lot of money.

Because some of these systems are so simple, they don’t need a lot of explaining which means that the information and training can be spread over less than 30 pages.

But, because these systems are so powerful and can generate tens of thousands… sometimes hundreds of thousands of pounds for the reader who does what they are show… you can charge up to £297 for the manual.

The value of the manual comes from the worth that it gives to the reader.

If a person makes tens of thousands of pounds using the information they have learned from a manual, then it is worth tens of thousands of pounds to them making the £297 price an absolute bargain!

Why am I telling you this?

I want you to realise how profitable a simple manual can be.

You don’t need to be the next JRR Tolkien and write a book that can cause an earthquake if dropped.

Simple manuals can be ridiculously thin.

Sometimes they can be so thin that the author feels compelled to ‘fatten’ them out with a lot of pointless ‘fluff and filler’.

This is probably the worst thing you can do.

Just keep it simple and straight to the point.

One manual which we sold for £47 was only 11 pages long, yet the information on those pages could change a person’s financial future completely.

Sell enough of these manuals to the right people, and you could be making a lot of money.

Out of all of the systems that we have covered in our manuals… publishing manuals is by far the most profitable.

What is great about the publishing industry is that anyone can get involved.

The stay-at-home-mother can run an online publishing business between caring for her children.

A person with mobility issues can run an online publishing business from the comfort and security of their home.

A person on low income looking for extra money can run an online business in their spare time.

An unemployed person can make money publishing information online.

Anyone and everyone have access to all the tools, platforms, and services that allows people to run a home-based publishing business.

Ebooks with 30 pages or less can take just a few days to produce.

It can take 30 days or less to have the eBook created and published online as part of a fully automatic passive income system that generates sales at any time of the day and night.

The Simplest Way To Make Money Is…?

I recently heard about a retiree named Bill who supplements his pension by doing what he calls Money Monday’s.

Monday was the day of the week put aside where he would focus his efforts on making money.

His wife, Sheila, would go out that day to the hairdressers and meet with friends for lunch and… well, basically spend money.

Not that he had a problem with her going out and spending money while enjoying time with her friends, he liked it because it gave him some time to himself too.

He decided that he would use the day to earn back the money she spent, and hopefully a little extra on top.

Monday was his balance day, she spent it… he earned it back.

He saw it as a challenge that he could enjoy and as a way to keep his mind and body active.

Bill wasn’t technically minded and so he didn’t want to do anything too technical or that required him to learn much.

After all, he only had a day to work with and for every day he spent ‘learning’, Sheila was out spending money.

He decided that he would sell things as a way to make money back and his focus was going to be eBay and Facebook market place.

Bill started listing a few things that he had at home that was no longer needed, but he didn’t actually have much to sell.

He needed to find a few things that he could sell and to do that he had only two options:

He couldn’t think of anything that he could make to sell, not something that people would need anyway.

He could have made, art, jewellery and trinkets like other crafters, but they are not things people tend to buy unless they have a lot of money spare to waste on ‘niceties’.

Even then, he would have to buy the materials and there were no guarantees that people would buy whatever it was he made.

Bill decided that he needed to buy items that people would want to buy and that those items had to be cheaper than buying them in the shops, and they had to be cheap for him to buy too.

So, with that in mind, he decided that one Monday when driving Sheila into town and dropping her off at the hairdressers, that instead of turning around and going straight back home, he would park up and go for a walk to have a browse in the charity shops.

He bought a few items, took them home, and listed them on eBay.

He didn’t make any sales that day, but he knew that it wouldn’t happen right away.

But over the week, he received bids on his items and by the following Monday, all but one of his items sold.

After taking out the money he spent buying the items, Bill had made a decent £40 profit which was just over half of what Sheila usually spent on a Monday getting her hair done and then lunching with the ladies.

Bill was really pleased with that. He now had £40 to add to the money he had for buying items to sell.

That following Monday, after dropping Sheila off at the hairdressers, Bill went to the charity shops again and sourced more items to sell.

With the extra money in his pocket, he was able to buy more items to sell.

He listed the items as soon as he got home.

That following Monday, Bill went over his sales and had made more profit than what Sheila had spent the previous Monday.

He was now on a roll.

He had his little system in place where he would go to the charity shops on the Monday, source products and list them, and make back the money his wife was spending… and more.

Over the weeks Bill started to make a lot more than what his wife was spending. The more money he made, the more he could spend on items to sell, the more items he had to sell, the more money he could make.

Once Sheila saw how much money he was making from his Money Monday’s hobby, she too became involved and would call in the charity shops whenever she was in town, looking for anything she believed they could sell for a profit.

She also suggested that they visit other towns in the area to browse through their charity shops, as well as enjoy a meal out. She made a day of Bill’s new hobby.

In fact, Bill’s hobby had given them a new lease of life. They went out for day trips visiting new towns where they enjoyed nice food, did a little sightseeing, and sourced items to sell.

They were having a great time. Not only that, the cost of these days out was paid for by their new hobby.

Selling pre-loved items is called ‘flipping’ and it is a very popular way of making money.

There are people who do this as their main income and they make tens of thousands of pounds of profit doing it… for some people that is per month!

What is great about flipping pre-loved items for a profit is that this is a real-world way of making money that you can start today, that also requires little technical ability and very little learning.

Our good friend John Banks has paid for holidays, monthly living costs, and even his wedding with the profits he has made flipping pre-loved items he bought on the cheap.

And he will show you how you can do the same here…

Going Flipping Crazy!

Kind regards.

John Harrison.

PS… This is a real world business that is simple and straightforward and requires no investment other than buying popular and in-demand items on the cheap.

Other than taking a decent photo with your phone and filling in a short listing, there is no technical ability or skills required.

Could This Be The Most Important Tool For Building Wealth?

I’ve said it before and I will say it again… the best tool for generating wealth is…

A notebook and pen

…along with a comfy chair and a desk in a quiet room free from all distractions.

You cannot underestimate the power of sitting in a quiet room with a notebook and pen… well actually, you can, many people do.

I was reminded of this the other day when I was looking through a specific platform online and observing what successful people were doing to earn money on it.

It wasn’t until a day later that I realised that I hadn’t taken any written notes and so I had forgotten a lot of what I had observed.

The reason for that was that I was looking on my phone and was not in my office at the time, but it serves as a great reminder as to why you should do your research and thinking in a specific place that is quiet where you have a notebook and pen.

Obviously, you can take notes on a smartphone, I often do, but for some reason I didn’t that day. I think it was because I was reading something on the platform as just a reader and wasn’t actually planning on researching the platform at that time.

It just happened.I started to look at what people were doing.

Anyway, the point of all of this is that when I was back in the office and thinking about that platform, I needed to go back and do it all again as I had no notes to fall back on.

I wanted to draw up a plan which copied what the successful users were doing.

As the saying goes, don’t try and reinvent the wheel.

If something is working for other people, copy them. See what they are doing and back-engineer their process and use it for yourself.

I mean… it makes sense, right?

If you see someone is making tens of thousands of pounds each month doing something specific… then to also earn tens of thousands of pounds yourself in the same way… you must do the same things exactly as the other person.

I’ve said it before… and I will say it again, you cannot throw a mix of eggs, flour, sugar, and chocolate powder into the oven and expect a quiche to appear.

To make a quiche you need a different set of ingredients and you need to do things differently.

If you want success in any given niche or industry, you need to do exactly what the successful people do.

Now, going back to the notebook and pen… when you take notes, you have them to hand so that you can look back on them and think through them. With a notebook you can expand on those notes.

You can write down ideas that you have and you can then also expand on those ideas. You can draw out bubble maps, using arrows to expand a business idea.

A notebook is an archive of ideas which could be worth millions.

Just one idea planned properly and acted on could change a person’s life in ways they couldn’t imagine.

One idea could quite easily make them a multimillionaire.

Every website, platform, tool, service, and product started as an idea which was expanded… and most, if not all, of those ideas would have first appeared on paper.

Taking notes and writing down ideas and then revisiting those notes and ideas will give you many more ideas, many of which could be worth a lot of money to you.

So, if you are not yet actively writing down notes and ideas… I suggest you get started now.

If taking notes, expanding on ideas, and building something that is worth hundreds of thousands of pounds or even millions of pounds sounds like too much hard work for you…

…and you’d rather do something a little more straightforward and easy which can earn you more than enough money to live a happy life…

…you might like the simplicity of flipping pre-loved items for large profits.

We Take These Tools And Services For Granted Here In The West!

I happened to end up talking to a guy who lives in Bangladesh, a country considered to be a bit ‘dodgy’ by a lot of global companies, and because of that, he is struggling to make money as easy as people with the same skills and services here in the more reliable ‘Western’ nations.

Where we take companies like PayPal and Stripe for granted, he cannot use these services as they are not available in his country.

Virtually all websites today use either of those payment processors, and we have come to trust them so much, that some people would rather not buy anything from a website if they don’t recognise the payment system.

It’s hard for people in these countries to set up websites and sell products such as eBooks, digital courses, and services.

He can use Payoneer which is the only company that seems to operate in this country, but they don’t let you make payment buttons, you have to request payment by sending an invoice by email, which is useless for selling eBooks and courses.

A lot of the third party platforms such as Gumroad, Payhip, Substack, and Patreon that allow users to sell digital products, use Stripe and PayPal to pay creators their earnings.

It’s not until you talk to someone who lives in a place where they cannot access these tools and services, that you realise how good we actually have it.

The only option he has is to set up a company in a different country which will require a whole lot of extra red tape and hurdles.

He said that he could set one up in the State of Wyoming, in the United States, as there is no tax to pay for non US citizens, although they do need to file a tax return.

For that he will require a lawyer, an agent, and an accountant.

I was told that it would cost around £400 to set up and then at least £800 each year to be managed smoothly, something which he currently cannot afford to do.

After asking a few questions, I found out that he was struggling a little financially but I came to the conclusion that the struggle could be eased if he did have access to services such as PayPal and Stripe.

It was a situation of him not doing it because he couldn’t afford it.

The problem is that this is one of those paradoxes where you need something first in order to get that same thing.

For example, to be able to afford a place to live, a person needs a job, but an employer rarely gives a job placement to people who do not have a ‘fixed abode’.

Another is when a person needs a car to get a job, but they need the job to pay for a car.

They have to take a risk and get the thing they need so that they can make the money to do it.

The problem with this chap not getting this company set up in the United States because he cannot afford it is that it is most probably costing him more in lost revenue.

It’s possibly more of a case of he cannot afford not to do it.

What if paying the £400 to get the company up and running in the USA allowed him to set up Stripe and PayPal accounts which mean that he could start selling digital products and services to people resulting in him making £10,000 over the year?

He would be £8,800 better off.

The setting up fee of £400 is just a one off cost so the following year he would only need to be concerned with the management costs.

But until he spends that money and gets the company in the US created, he will not earn anything.

I suggested that he put a tin aside or opened up a second bank account where he could put money in for that sole purpose of funding the creation of a company in the US.

He may be struggling to afford it now, but with a bit of mindful planning, he could start to find the money he needs.

If he doesn’t focus on raising that money, what is likely to happen is that another year will pass, and another, and then another, and he will still be talking about it instead of doing anything about it.

It is a lot harder to make things happen if you are not actively doing something to make it happen.

By actively focusing on raising the money needed, it will happen because there is an achievable goal to work towards.

Until there is a manageable goal to work towards, everything is just an idea in the sky.

We here in the UK are fortunate to be able to use Stripe and PayPal, they allow us to be able to receive payment from other people by simply adding a payment button to a webpage.

That means we can sell virtually anything.

This article that you are reading right now could be turned into a PDF or put on a page that can only be accessed through a small payment.

I am not going to charge for it… however, it could be part of a subscription business where people pay a small monthly fee to access specific content.

That is such a simple and easy business to get into.

Create some content; add a payment button collecting a monthly subscription fee to a sales page, and sell a monthly newsletter.

You can charge as little as £5 a month and still make a decent amount of money if you get a large number of subscribers.

1,000 subscribers would give you £5,000 a month.

Now who wouldn’t like that?

I know that my friend who lives in a country deemed too dodgy for Stripe and PayPal would love it. That would mean freedom to him.
