Okay, this idea is slightly different to all of the previous ideas I have shared with you in the past… but I think it has a lot of potential.
A LOT of potential.
I have been thinking a lot about ways for people to make money which requires little expense and little work… especially technical work.
Not everyone wants to spend hours creating products, building websites, regularly posting on social media and managing costly online adverts… not only does it sound like a lot of hard work… it is.
People want something which is simple… and I think this is possibly one of the simplest business ideas around.
This idea involves promoting other people’s products.
Products which:
- Are already made.
- You will never need to touch.
- Which come with quite a hefty price tag and…
- Which the owners are happy to pay you 50% or more of that hefty price.
And for this, you will need to spend £20:39… and go for a walk.
To make this work you will need to join either (or both) JVZoo and Clickbank.
JVZoo and Clickbank are two popular affiliate network websites which list hundreds of ready-made products where the owners will pay you commissions of half of the sale price or more.
Search the market place for products which you wish to sell, get an affiliate link for that product, pretty the link up using a link shortener like Bitly, TinyURL or Rebrandly so that it is readable, then pop over to Bizay.co.uk and order 1,000 postcards for the incredibly low price of £20:39.
The postcards will need designing but that is going to be easier than you might think.
You simply go back to the sales page of the product you are promoting, copy the headline and some of the important information from the sales letter, add your new URL details with a call to action such as ‘Learn More Here’ and you are basically good to go.
Get Bizay to print off the postcards and wait for them to be delivered. (There may be a postage cost to factor in to this too.)
Once you have your postcards, go for a walk and then slide the cards under windscreen wipers on cars, pin them to notice boards, and leave them on cafe tables.
Now, the take up could be really low here, which is why you should promote products which are expensive. If you make just one sale out of that 1,000 postcard blitz for a product which is priced at £1,997 and you get 50%… you have made a great profit.
Even if you promoted a product which was priced at just £100 and you made one sale with a 50% commission, you have doubled your money.
Spend that money on getting more cards printed and go again.
With this business method, you can also contact local businesses and ask if you could promote their services and products for a commission and tell them that you will stand the advertising costs.
If it’s going to cost them nothing to have their company advertised to the local population, you may get one or two businesses taking you up on the offer.
Yes, some people frown upon this kind of advertising as they see it a little intrusive. If you are one of those people then you may fear doing it but should that put you off?
If it costs just £20:39 to have 1,000 postcards made promoting a high priced golf product and you placed them on cars parked at a golf club… do you not think one or two people may be interested in taking a look at the product?
One of the things I like about this idea is that this method goes back to the roots of putting adverts firmly into people’s hands.
The online world is crowded with adverts all competing with one and other to be seen. And with so many adverts flashing on websites, people have mentally switched off.
People have become blind to a lot of online adverts because they are exposed to so many.
Studies show that on average, a person sees between 6,000 and 10,000 adverts online… every single day.
That is a lot.
And that is why a lot of people now use advert blocking software to prevent ads from showing on their devices.
You can’t block a postcard!
Postcards are tactile.
You see and feel them.
You hold them in your hands and your flip them over.
They stop you in your tracks and pull you out of your thoughts.
When you see something placed on your windscreen under a wiper, what do you do?
You go and remove it. That involves touching it and looking at it.
And now, thanks to everyone having a smartphone or tablet to hand, they can check out the website there and then. There is no waiting until you were at home sitting at the big old bulky computer like the old days.
Even better if you can add a Q code which directs people to the sales letter without needing to type out the web address. People simply point their phone camera lens at the code and they are then automatically taken to the website.
This business idea is a meeting of the two schools of technology.
Using traditional printed postcards utilising smartphone technology to send people to affiliate products online.
Plus, you get a nice exercising walk in the fresh air. What’s not to love about that?
It’s perfect if you have a dog you need to walk. Take a shoulder bag crammed with postcards out with you and pop them through doors and leave them on tables.
At £20:39, is it not worth a try?
I think the most important part of this is choosing the right product and choosing the best places to put your cards. Get that right and you could possibly earn quite a lot of money with this.
Bizay also print beer mats, flyers, business cards and stickers. All at decent prices.
Some online printers such as Vista print offer to print so many for free as part of promotional campaigns. If you take advantage of those kinds of deals, you can get quite a lot of promotional material for free… and if they are selling high ticket items, then you could be on to a real winner.
Does that sound like something which could interest you?
Kind Regards
John Harrison
PS… Postcards are small, there is only so much room to work with so you’ll need to create the best message possible. Communicating your message correctly is vital and to do that, you’ll need to know which words turn people into emotional buyers and which repel people.
The choice of words you use can make or break a sale. If you want to learn how to turn people into buyers and generate a lot of money using nothing more than words, go to:
