The REAL Industrial Revolution Is Upon Us!

If you haven’t heard of ChatGPT or AI tools, then you have either been living in a cave like Spanish extreme athlete, Beatriz Flamini, who recently set a new world record after spending 500 days living in a cave alone and isolated from society.

I don’t know if it was something that she wanted to do for herself, but it will be useful for science as she was being closely monitored by scientists who have been studying what prolonged periods of isolation and living in a cave can do to humans.

Beatriz went in way before ChatGPT was released and will have no idea as to what it is or what it can do.

Released in November 2022, ChatGPT is an AI chatbox that you can ask questions and it will deliver ‘fairly’ accurate answers.

When they say Artificial Intelligence, we may not be at the level of AI consciousness as in i-Robot starring Will Smith or A.I. – Artificial Intelligence starring Haley Joel Osment, but we are at a point where these tools can churn out content fast.

ChatGPT can write eBooks, emails, and articles in a matter of minutes…. even seconds.

It is advised that you fact-check what comes out as it has been known to ‘fill the gaps’ with guesses when it struggles to find the right information. It’s not fully 100% accurate just yet.

ChatGPT has been fed millions of pieces of information; maybe it searches the whole internet for the right information, I don’t know, whatever it does, it does it at lightning speed!

Chat GPT is not the only AI tools available.

I watched a short video the other day explaining how you can make faceless affiliate videos for YouTube in as little as FIVE minutes!

To make these videos you go to ChatGPT and ask it to create a five minute video script on specific topic which you then add to Speechify.com which will ‘read it out’ and turn it into an audio file.

You then take that audio file and go to Invideo.io and upload both the script and audio to the software which will create a video by matching the content with the stock images it has in its huge database.

You can have a video made in five minutes ready to upload to YouTube, a video that has the potential to make you money.

If you want to use a face to read out your script, you can go to Heygen.com and add the script and choose one of the many people they have there to read it out for you…

But know this… these people are not reading the script, there are no voiceover costs here, these are ‘deep fake’ style videos where the faces appear to read the words that are part of the script.

They look rather realistic.

They may not be 100% just yet, but soon you won’t be able to tell that these people are not actually reading your script but are a series of pre-recorded videos that are being manipulated by AI technology to look like they are reading your script.

AI is now also generating art that looks every bit like something created by a human.

Book covers can now be created by authors without having to pay book cover designers to do it for them.

AI is changing the publishing industry beyond recognition.

We are at that point where it is now possible that one person can run a successful home-based publishing business without having to hire writers, proofreaders, editors, or cover designers.

All of the work can be done by one person using AI tools.

I’d say that it is possible that one person could create and publish a new completed digital product per day. Some people may be able to do more. It depends on their work ethic and how they approach it.

AI technology is going to make a lot of money for a handful of people.

I’d like to say that it will make a lot of money for a lot of money – it might, but it is still early days and no one knows exactly what is going to happen.

A lot of writers, editors, researchers, designers, proofreaders are going to be put out of work. They could pivot and create content for themselves to sell instead of writing for others, but that could result in potentially millions of pieces of content being published which is probably far too much for human consumption.

Also, if writers are going to use AI to write content because it can research and deliver all the information a person wants in minutes, or even seconds… what is stopping those who consume information from simply using them tools themselves instead?

We already have people using AI tools daily in their homes. People ask Alexa and Google for information and help.

If they can do that, why would they want to buy an eBook about vegan baking when those tools can give them information and recipes instantly?

Today I received an email with the title ‘RIP: Copy Courses’ stating that people no longer need to buy courses on a copywriting because they can actively learn it while using AI tools.

If that is the case, information publishers could be facing an uncertain future.

I like to think that AI will spawn a new industry where people become researchers and analyze markets and niches.

The problem with that though, is that with these AI tools, you can research, analyze and plan a year’s worth of product ideas in a few days.

No company is going to hire someone for a fulltime position when they are only needed for a week.

This opens up the doors to freelance researchers and analyzers but again, if they can deliver a year’s worth of work in a week, one person can service many different companies meaning that there is only needed a handful of specialists… and a handful of specialists doesn’t make an industry.

We are at the dawning of new era. This is the new industrial revolution, one which is potentially going to put a lot of people out of work.

As with all progress in society and technology, new jobs and industries are usually born as a result, but with AI that can write software programs, computer code, and a whole lot more… has the time come where the AI has completely eradicated these new industries because it can do that work too?

Who knows?

What I do know is that we are living in a time that is both exciting and scary. It depends on how you look at it and how you perceive the changes it will make.

I also know that it is going to make some people a stack of money.

And this is where the future of information publishing is going.

It is going into the hands of individuals at home.

The popular ecommerce website, Amazon, is now worth $1.5 trillion because it is the go-to place with 200 million customers choosing to buy through it each month.

Quite a lot of that money is generated by people buying books both physical and digital (eBooks).

Amazon sells around two thirds of all physical books sold in the UK and USA and nearly 90% of all eBooks.

Amazon also has an AI which works out which books are selling well and they then show those books to people who it ‘thinks’ would be interested in buying them.

Amazon basically shows popular selling books to potential new customers for you.

People are using AI to write books which they then upload and sell through Amazon.

The books produced by AI needs to be top and tailed a little with a bit of personality added and fact checked to ensure that it is accurate.

That shouldn’t take too long to do, and once they are ready, you can simply upload them to Amazon who will process the sale for you and manage the promotion of your book too.

AI can create those eBooks for you and this is where home-based information publishing is heading… into the hands of people like you.

Kind regards

John Harrison.

PS… You can have your very own eBooks selling on Amazon within an hour or two, eBooks which could earn you a passive income.

I suggest you get in on this now before everyone else does because AI is revolutionising the publishing industry and there is going to be a lot of people who will want to get involved and as the saying goes ‘the early bird catches the worm’!

Woman Who Couldn’t Read Or Write, Becomes Bestselling Author

This morning I read about a 53-year-old woman from Manchester who has written 27 books.

Karen Woods is known as Manchester’s Queen of Crime.

There’s nothing special about a woman writing 27 novels, a lot of people write and publish books.

But what is special about Karen’s story is that she couldn’t read and write until the age of 39.

Karen had a bad start in life, but thanks to an adult literacy course, she was able to turn that bad start around and within a short 14 year period she has written and published 27 crime novels.

So… if you believe that you cannot do or achieve something… think again.

Going from not being able to read and write to being a bestselling author nicknamed Manchester’s Queen of Crime is seriously impressive.

That is an incredible achievement in my opinion.

In a world where people are written off after a certain age and where success is seen as something that should be achieved when you are young, it is refreshing to see someone follow their dreams and go from the lowest point possible to the highest highs.

For someone who wants to be a popular and well respected author, not being able to read and write is the lowest possible point there is.

How can you even contemplate being an author if you can’t even read or write?

Well, it is what Karen wanted and she was determined to make it happen… and she did!

So, if there is something you want to achieve but believe that it is either too late or that you cannot do it, think again.

Most things are possible.

Obviously, I am not going to say that everything is possible; because it’s not true.

No matter how much he wants it, I cannot see a 96-year-old wheelchair bound German playing for England in the next world cup.

There are so many reasons as to why that won’t happen, but that isn’t to say that he won’t meet some of the team… but he won’t be playing alongside them.

You have to be realistic in your desires, but most people undervalue themselves and their abilities and overestimate the hurdles which stand in the way.

The truth is, most people can achieve what they desire (as long as it is possible), it’s just that they never have a real attempt at it.

Whatever you think is preventing you from achieving… or even attempting your desires, it’s highly likely that it is nothing as severe as wanting to be a writer but not actually being able to read and write!

You can do it.

I know you can, you just need to believe you can and make a start… then stick with it.

Sticking with something is the actual winner.

Being consistent is what differentiates successful people from those who fail.

Sticking with something long enough for it to bear fruit is something most people who fail… fail to do.

A system can only work when it has been followed to the letter, given all of the ingredients and attention it needs.

An apple seed cannot grow into a tree if it is dug up and tossed into the bin because it hasn’t delivered apples within a fortnight.

It needs time.

Once it has had the right amount of time, the tree will grow fruit that will nourish and feed you.

Systems like the Easy As 1-2-3 Betfair System require consistent attention for it to bear fruit, but when it does… the fruit are super sweet.

Making Money Doesn’t Require A Lot Of Technical Know How!

In a world where computer programs and AI software appear to be running the whole show, we have to remember that not everything is digital and that people still want and need ‘physical’ items.

People still need to wear shoes and trainers, they still want to play computer games and listen to music on records, CDs and even cassette tapes.

Did you know… cassette tape sales are at a 20-year high according to the music magazine NME.

I don’t know who is buying or selling cassettes, I can’t imagine many people have cassette players these days, but yes, cassettes are becoming popular again.

In the US, sales of albums on cassette tape increased by 28% in 2022 to 440,000 (up from 343,000 in 2021) according to the US 2022 Luminate Year-End Music Report.

There is a big demand for old albums on cassette tape by those who either missed them when they originally came out when they were young, or they have since sold or lost them and they want to get them again.

Cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, books, computer games, shoes, trainers, jeans, ties… all of these things can easily be popped into a box or a bag and put into the post.

The reason I am telling you this is that there are decent profits sat waiting on the shelves of charity shops or the table tops at carboot markets.

This week I spoke briefly to a guy who had bought an original 1983 Pac-Man game console, boxed and in great condition, from a charity shop for £30, there are others currently being sold on eBay for between £300 and £500.

That same guy paid for his whole wedding and several holidays through selling items he bought for a few pounds from charity shops and carboot markets, on eBay for a much larger profit.

I found out that this week he sold several pairs of trainers that he had bought a while back from a carboot market and hadn’t got round to listing them on eBay until last week.

The profit he made from those sales is somewhere in the region of ten times what he paid for the trainers.

So, if he had spent £10, he made back £100.

£90 profit isn’t bad at all for a £10 investment. Is it?

He says that he always makes at least treble his initial purchase costs.

So for every £1 he spends, he makes at least £3. Very often he makes more.

On the surface, it sounds like it can be hard work going to carboot markets and trawling through charity shops, but it doesn’t have to be.

He usually goes to a carboot market early on a Sunday morning for an hour or two, gets back and lists his purchases on eBay and is usually finished by 10am.

That is it for the week other than dealing with questions and processing any sales that happen.

Occasionally, during the week he will pop to the charity shops to look for a bargain and then list them as soon as he gets home. It doesn’t take him long to get items listed.

It is one of the easiest and least technical ways to make money.

Other than being able to take a photo with your smartphone and access eBay, there is nothing technical to learn.

The wife of one of the Streetwise team loves to trawl charity shops at the weekend and she drags him around too. While in the charity shops with his wife he is always looking for a bargain that he can sell for a profit.

He is there in the shop anyway, so he might as well profit from being there.

If you like to go for a walk as way to get some exercise, why not walk to the charity shops and look for a bargain or two?

If you have to ‘pop into town’ for something specific, why not pop into a charity shop and have a browse for a bargain or two?

Incorporate a carboot market or charity shop with your weekly walk and turn that walk into a money making venture.

While energy and food prices are high, and people are struggling, anything a person can do to make more money is a must.

It’s not hard to determine what can sell for a profit or not, a quick search on eBay and Google can tell you there and then what something is worth or whether there is a demand for it.

Once, while waiting for his wife to look through clothing in a charity shop, the guy who works for us found a load of old comics and wondered if they would be good to buy.

After a quick look on eBay he determined that they were not worth his time or effort as they were selling online for the same price.

Later, in a different charity shop, he found a series of old books priced at a £1 each that were selling on eBay for at least £5. Needless to say, he bought them and sold them for a profit.

If you make just £50 a week, that is a nice £200 extra each month, which is a decent £2,400 per year.

It may not be huge, but you can do quite a bit with £2,400.

In fact, you can do quite a bit with £200 if you use it as the seed money for an online digital business as laid out in this blueprint:

What To Do When You’re Stuck In A Harbour Without A Motor

I was talking to one of my team today, Andi, and we were discussing ways to make a few thousand pounds relatively fast.

The conversation was born from the Ch5 drama, The Catch, he was watching where a fisherman, played by Jason Watkins, was the target of a campaign of sabotage.

One day he found his fishing nets cut, then a few days later, someone had put salt water into the boats motor crippling the boat. A few days after that, he was hit by a fine for fishing ‘over’ his allowed quota.

The poor guy was simply trying to make a living in a world where prices were rising and he was only allowed to land a specific number of fish.

The sabotage to his nets and engine and the fine were going to cripple him. He was forced to find the money from somewhere and so he forged his mother-in-laws signature for a loan using her house (which he lived in) as security.

I’ve yet to find out what happens to the fisherman, I don’t think Andi has seen the whole drama yet, but what stuck with me was how rapidly things can go downhill if you don’t have enough spare money – or a way to make money fast – when you need it most.

I have talked about it a few times before where I have offered up several suggestions and ideas on how to grow a slush fund that can protect you when things suddenly go against you.

There is one way to make fast money which I haven’t yet talked about. This is for those people who create and sell their own digital products online.

In a previous article I have talked about offering your services for a premium price or selling a bundle of your information products to the people on your email list as a way to make a decent lump sum of quick cash… but there is something else you can do… sell licenses to your products.

When you license your own products, you can charge up to ten times the sale price.

So if you sell an eBook for £47, you could license the eBook for £470. The license allows the buyer to rebrand it and sell it for themselves keeping 100% of the profits.

If you sell it with sales copy, graphics, bonuses and pre-written emails, you could charge more.

An eBook/video course that sells for £97 with a pre-written sales page, pre-written emails, cover graphics and a couple of bonus reports all in an editable format could easily sell for £997.

If you were looking for a quick £1,000, you’d only need to sell one or two licenses of your products.

For that to work, you need to have a decent sized email list which, as you will know by now, is something I recommend everyone to have.

You also need to create your own products, but that is a lot easier than you may think. You can always outsource the work to others then reap the rewards when you sell the products and licenses to those products to other people.

To learn how to make your own products that you can sell from anywhere between £2.99 and £997 go to:

PS… EBooks are not hard to create and there are no limits to how many you can create (have created) and sell.

The more eBooks you have listed on your website means you have a greater opportunity to earn more… it also means that you have more licenses to sell for a premium price.

30 Years For How Much? Was It Worth It?

In 2001 in Derbyshire, UK, a man broke into the factory where he once worked several years as a security guard, to steal money from the gaming machines in the staff canteen.

During the break-in, the burglar was disturbed by the security guard who recognised him as being an old work colleague.

Realising that he had been recognised, the burglar bludgeoned his old work colleague to death, hitting him more than ten times with a hammer before dragging his body out into the car park.

At first, the police had no leads or idea as to who was behind the brutal attack.

They figured that it was a burglary and that the attack originally happened inside the building and not in the car park, but they had no idea as to who the burglar was.

A fingerprint was found at the scene, but it matched none on their ‘new’ electronic computer database.

Fortunately, the murderous burglar had broken into the factory a few months before and had also left fingerprints which were added to the ‘older’ wet ink fingerprint files.

Realising that there had been an identical burglary a few months before, the detectives decided to trawl through the old fingerprint files looking for a match for the print found at the latest burglary that resulted in the death of the security guard.

They found one.

A man was arrested and the case against him was made with the discovery of more evidence when they searched his car and house.

The burglar was eventually sentenced to life in prison for the murder with a further three years per burglary added to his sentence.

He was not going to see the light of day for a good 30 odd years.

And do you know how much he stole from those machines that night?

£200!

An innocent farther-of-three was murdered for a lousy £200.

It is a shocking story.

I don’t know much about the killer’s life at that time. I don’t know if he needed money ‘desperately’, it is said that during an interview with the police, the burglar told them that the break-ins were an act of revenge against his former employers and work colleagues.

I don’t know why, or what had happened for him to want revenge if that is true, all I do know is that he has lost around 30 years of his freedom, an innocent man died, and his family was torn apart… for a lousy £200.

What an absolute waste!

If the money was the reason for the burglary, then it is incredibly sad because there are many ways to make money which don’t result in lengthy stays in prison and/or the death of innocent people.

It’s well known that most people want things ‘now’.

A lot of people are lazy and impatient and I guess breaking into a factory to steal £200 could be seen as a decent haul if you are in and out within a few minutes.

But is it really worth it?

There are many ways to make that kind of money… and many of them don’t require you to work hard for it.

One incredibly simple way to make money is to write and send emails to people.

What I am writing today… will make money.

I made over £4,000 one weekend sending a simple email as a ‘test!’

The emails I write and send sell products such as The Email Secret.

For those who don’t know, The Email Secret is a product which shows you how to make money writing and sending simple emails (like this one) and how to build an online information publishing business similar to mine which has made millions of pounds in sales over the years.

I am not alone in this; tens of thousands of people worldwide make thousands of pounds each month writing and sending simple emails which promote high priced products.

Making money sending emails gives you a freedom other businesses can’t.

It allows you to travel the world because you can write and send emails from the four corners of the globe. You do not need an office or any staff to run an email business.

To learn more, click the link below:

The Email Secret

PS… A quick email writing tip for you… watch documentaries, watch films, watch television dramas, read books, read magazines, read news articles, read articles online and listen to podcasts.

All of the above will give you a wealth of information and ideas which can be used in writing articles and emails.

The story I shared with you today is from a BBC show which interviews detectives about cases they worked on and how they cracked them resulting in a conviction.

And that story works nicely to highlight that crime is not the best way to make money compared to writing and sending emails.

Why You Should ‘Keep It Real’

There’s a lot of talk about AI at the moment.

I think it has also become a new marketing term that a lot of people are jumping on.

I’m half expecting Wilcos to somehow add ‘AI’ to the marketing description of dustpan and brush sets!

The world has gone AI mad, and there is a reason for that… AI is here, and it is changing the way the world works.

Just look at Alexa, you can talk to a speaker in the corner of your lounge and get answers to virtually any question.

You can ask it to play music, tune into radio stations, turn the TV channel over and turn off the lights.

You can even watch what is happening outside your house by asking it to show your Ring doorbell.

AI is here, it is powerful, and people are beginning to make a lot of money using it.

But there is one thing AI cannot do… and that is…

Be a real and authentic person!

Being authentic and real is one of the most powerful ways to make money.

People buy from people.

And they buy into people.

They follow people they like and they happily take a look at the things they recommend.

People influence people.

There is an honest truth about people that AI cannot yet deliver.

Even when a person is lying, it can often be seen as truth by the way it is delivered.

Many people admit to still liking specific people even if they have been proven to lie regularly.

You only have to look at the popularity of some of the politicians that have graced the floors of Westminster recently.

It seems that no matter how many times politicians and celebrities lie and behave appallingly… as long as they are a ‘character’ and appear to be a ‘good and fun’ person… people still like them.

Unlike AI, humans have personality.

AI tools are wonderful and they should be used. Just today, I have been talking to a member of my team about utilising AI tools more.

They can be used to make videos, write scripts, read out text and make podcasts.

AI tools can help people to create products for little expense… but if you really want to succeed, being seen as the front of the business would be incredibly beneficial.

It is human nature to distrust the unfamiliar and the best way to beat unfamiliarity is to become familiar with people.

Being familiar really means being seen as a real person. A series of photos and posts on social media will help with that.

Maybe even a video or two.

They don’t even have to be about work. A couple of pictures of you enjoying a meal or a walk in the countryside can add a lot of weight.

Yes, it would help if you do mention once or twice that you are the person behind a specific product so that when anyone comes across your social media posts, they know that you are the right person.

You cannot underestimate the power of an evolving life story.

People see it and go ‘oh, so [your name] is a real person’.

That is powerful.

It builds trust too.

If someone talks to you about a book that has been published by a celebrity that you know of, you instantly recognise the name, you know of the person and you have no reason to doubt that the book is real or genuine.

All doubts and fears are removed because you know of that person. They have a well-known and traceable public history.

Here is the thing I want you to consider…

Virtually everyone has a smartphone these days, and everyone over the age of 14 has the opportunity to open up profiles on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok for free where they can share pics, videos and do live broadcasts… which costs nothing to do.

You really don’t need to do a lot or spend any money to be seen… and being seen and known as a real person is powerful and profitable.

It is through the use of those tools and free platforms that ordinary people have been able to build six-figure-a-year incomes without spending a penny of their own money.

A Simple Method To Build A Passive Income

I’ve just watched an interesting video by a guy called Kam, about AI created content and copyright laws in the US.

What I found most interesting was the story of Kam’s previous money making adventures.

He previously made a lot of money by publishing content which was either in the public domain (copyright protection had elapsed) or that could not be protected by copyright.

Cooking recipes and instructions cannot be copyrighted in the US as they are basically a list of ingredients.

Kam made a lot of money by simply collecting recipes for various foods, pizza and Mexican foods etc, and then published them as eBooks on Amazon.

Cooking instructions can be copyrighted here in the UK apparently, but I am not sure to what degree that covers.

According to a quick search on Google:

Ideas, procedures, methods, systems, and processes are not copyrightable (e.g., the list of ingredients for recipes are not copyrightable, but the recipes’ instructions are protected).

In the US, copyright covers ‘human expression’ which means how the instructions and recipe is written and delivered.

Human expression is basically ‘creation’ such as creating music, creating art, creating a piece of writing.

But just like a list of ingredients, cooking instructions are also a vital part to the science of cooking and baking.

So I think the instructions such as ‘mix in the bowl until firm’ and ‘put into a pre-heated oven for 45 minutes at 225 degrees’ is not going to be copyrighted and I doubt you will land in trouble if you wrote simple instructions like that without any extra ‘expression’ or story.

If someone wrote ‘my grandma would put it in a hot oven for 45 minutes at 225 degrees’ and you wrote the same, then yes, you are infringing on copyright.

As for the instruction itself, baking a cake requires the mixture of ingredients being put into an oven and heating through at a specific temperature for a specific set time.

It is a scientific process, that is a fact… and you cannot copyright fact.

So I am not fully sure what is meant when they say ‘the recipes’ instructions are protected’, but I am going to say that it refers to more individual preference and the way the instruction is written rather than the actual instruction itself.

Another thing Kam said he published which I found interesting, was old comics that were in the public domain.

Comics and books written before the copyright laws changed giving long term protection, had to have their copyright protection updated after a while and many people/companies didn’t bother to update the protection on books and comics that where were no longer being published and sold.

Back in those days, books and comics were physical items which needed to be printed and distributed to shops. Unless they were incredibly popular and reprinted every few years, most books and comics were a one-time product.

So you can understand why companies didn’t renew copyright protection on books and comics that they hadn’t been actively selling for many years.

Also, many publishers closed down and so there was no company to renew the copyright on the books and comics they published.

Kam sourced classic comics that were out of copyright protection, scanned them and had them made into digital editions which he sold on Amazon.

He made a lot of money doing this.

I have talked about this before.

Publishing content that has no copyright protection is a profitable business model, as long as you publish stuff which people want to read.

However…

You are no longer selling to a small local community like the high street shops of yesteryear, you are now selling to people globally and because of that, you can find more than enough people who would be interested in buying things that are not deemed popular.

One person in your town may be interested in brass rubbings, but globally, there may be a few thousand who might be interested in buying an old book on the subject… I say might, I’m not suggesting you try it.

People love to consume and enjoy content and it doesn’t matter if that content is old.

People today still enjoy the works of Shakespeare and Dickens, and there’s nothing new about their stories.

The BBC has just made a new – and controversial – adaption of Dickens’ Great Expectations starring the wonderfully talented Olivia Coleman.

Old is not necessarily bad… old can be incredibly profitable.

The Overlooked Secret To Success

I was talking to a friend recently about impatience, and how it can be harmful to a person’s success.

We were talking about how most people want things ‘right now’ and are unable to defer gratification.

I am in the business of selling information that can change people’s lives if they correctly follow what they are shown.

Sadly, a lot of people don’t follow what they are shown because they want to get results faster than what is expected.

The only thing that happens fast when people cut corners or improvise is they fail and quit.

Success needs time to grow.

It is like a tree.

A 400 year old oak tree looks magnificent as it proudly stands tall with its thick branches reaching far and wide.

But 400 years ago, it was just a small acorn. So small it would fit in your hand along with many other acorns.

During the conversation, my friend said people should think of success and wealth as televisions shows, films, music albums and books.

I asked him what he meant and he said:

“Whenever you see people being interviewed about their latest television show, film or book they have published, it is past history to them.

“The world might be enjoying the hype around it now; people may be avidly reading or watching the show as soon as a new episode has been released, but for the actors, writers, musicians, and anyone else who was part of the creation process, they have moved on. They finished the work a year or two ago and are working on something new.

“You can be sat glued to the telly, completely enthralled at the action unfolding in the new drama on the BBC, but it’s already a year or two old.”

My friend was right, the biggest dramas, the latest box-office smash movies, the latest bestselling novel and the number one selling (or is that downloaded these days?) album that is causing a massive stir in society right now, are old.

They are last year’s work.

Celebrities can be out doing interviews for their work a year or two after it was finished and have moved onto new projects.

It’s possible that some actors have finished several films and television shows before they are out on the road promoting a film they worked on a year or two previously.

I know that we live in a world which glorifies fast massive success, those stories need telling and sharing, but for the most cases, success happens after a period of incubation.

Success comes once the work is finished and the marketing starts.

A buzz needs to be created.

People need to be told about the new album, film, book or drama.

Why am I telling you this?

Because I want you to understand that when you have finished creating a product like an eBook, a training course, or even started to follow a specific trading system, success will not happen right away… and that is ok.

It is only natural.

It is part of the process.

Yes, of course you would love to start making £1,000 a week in passive income as soon as you get started… but I’m sure you wouldn’t object to waiting a few months or even a year for that to happen.

Would you?

You shouldn’t really as it is the natural flow of success.

Product/project first – incubation period (marketing/growth) – Success.

You have to get started first.

The greatest actors spent many years in the wilderness before stardom called.

Every minute spent working on their craft took them closer to the success they desired.

Each and every day they plodded on, keeping the faith that it would happen, and then one day… it did.

That success came because of all of the time they spent working towards their goal.

They simply didn’t quit.

Like a tree, they allowed time for growth which blossomed into success.

Now, you may not want to write a book, become an actor, release an album or anything like that, you might just want a way to simply make extra money.

But the same rules apply.

There will be an incubation period for growth.

Take John Banks’ Easy As 1-2-3 horse racing system as an example; John started small with £100 which he doubled within 24 days.

At the start, making £100 in 24 days is not overly impressive, but when you keep doubling that money, after a few months you will be making more than £100 in 24 days… you could be making several thousands of pounds.

And it is TAX FREE too!

When Sweet Profits Turn Sour

A couple of years ago I reported how people were turning to baking cakes and cookies from home as a way to make extra money.

It was a great little home based business idea. Lots of people loved the sweet treats and were ordering them regularly via Facebook and Instagram.

Sadly, with the rising energy and food prices, many of those who started baking treats at home as a way to make money, have stopped.

What was a fun and easy(ish) way to make money has become a lot harder to turn a profit.

This is a shame, especially when you consider that the use of free social media for advertising meant that costs were quite low to start with.

When asked if she would start again, Alice, a home based baker who featured in our Streetwise Confidential newsletter, said “it really wasn’t worth it anymore”.

Alice was also working fulltime and what she was earning with her baking was paying her bills and going towards extra luxuries, leaving her main wage mostly untouched.

Unfortunately, the recent cost-of-living-crisis has forced her and many others to stop.

Not only have the costs of energy and ingredients rocketed in price for her, they have for everyone leaving them with less money resulting in fewer people choosing to spend any spare money they have on sweet treats.

A few years ago when living costs were a lot lower, people were happy to buy cakes and cookies weekly, now they are more focused on saving their money and using it more efficiently.

Also, there was a lot of work involved with baking, the washing of pots was a nightmare and so with virtually no profit in it now for Alice, she has decided that it is no longer worth her time and effort.

This is sad because a few years ago it was a decent way to earn extra money to cover bills and living expenses, but now those bills and expenses have destroyed that opportunity.

Imagine how bad it is for people who do this kind of thing as a full time job!

I have seen several cafes, takeaways and bakeries post online saying that they were struggling and the increased costs were killing them off.

Manufacturing and industry must be struggling too.

This is why I am forever talking about ways to make money that require little investment or have minimal running costs.

The last thing you need when trying to make extra life-changing, or simply life-helping, money, is to have a lot of running costs and expenses.

There is little point working hard when all you are going to make is a few quid.

That is one of the things most people overlook when starting a business or looking for a way to make extra money.

They often choose something they would like to do – or think is easy – but when you sit down and do some real in-depth number-crunching, you will find that once all costs are paid for, they have made nothing more than a pound or two for an hour’s work.

What’s the point?

Yes, they make some extra money, and yes, they enjoyed what they do… for now, but wouldn’t it make more sense to do one hour’s work of something you don’t necessarily enjoy for £10 or more, than doing ten hours of something you enjoy – or think is easy – for £10?

You may not like writing, but an hour writing for a client could earn you anywhere between £10 and £250 and cost you nothing to do.

That’s a lot less hassle and less hard work than trying to bake cakes for several hours which cost just as much to bake as you earn.

That is the sad fact of life today, there is a huge cost involved when producing ‘physical’ products.

It is different with digital products though, you can create a digital product with ease and that one digital product could make you far more money than creating any single physical item.

Based on the ‘return on your efforts’, that is.

Baking a 9” square brownie for example may take half an hour and earn you £5 profit in total, but an eBook which took an hour could earn you tens of thousands of pounds.

To make another £5 profit selling brownies, you need to make another brownie.

To make another £5 selling an eBook, you only need to sell another copy.

You don’t need to make another eBook.

Once that eBook is online, you can make sales forever and a day.

One eBook is like selling thousands of brownies with the added bonus of having to make it just once.

There are no gas costs, unless you are writing in a cold house in the dead of winter, no ingredients to buy, electricity cost is minimal, there’s no washing up to do, and no delivering or handing product to people.

You publish your eBook online and it can make sales, hourly, daily, weekly and monthly without you having to do a great deal.

I cannot stress how easy it can be to create an eBook, even if you do it yourself and don’t use any AI systems like Chat GPT, it can take as little as half an hour to create a digital product that you can sell.

Just this morning while enjoying his first brew of the day, before officially starting work, Andi, a member of my team, was adding lines to an eBook using just his phone.

Yesterday he took several screenshots of what he was seeing on his laptop screen, added them to a Google Doc and then started to add text in and around those pictures using his phone.

Apparently, while watching television in bed last night, he had a few ideas as to what he needed to put in the eBook and so he wrote several paragraphs using his phone.

It is very easy to steal a few minutes here and there with a smartphone.

We are currently promoting a product which was written by a guy who would often write sections while waiting for his children to leave school or while he sat waiting to collect a takeaway.

He used his spare time to create a product which is set to earn him tens of thousands of pounds over the next few years.

Once one product is finished and selling, you can move onto the next.

Having multiple products selling is a fantastic way to generate a passive income.

Having multiple digital products selling online is how to build a passive six-figure business.

And the good news is… you can start without spending a penny of your own money.

How To Build A Six-Figure-A-Year Income Without Spending A Penny Of Your Own Money!

Freezing, Fighting Fish, And Dodging Snakes Is Not My Ideal Way To Make Money

Yesterday, I read about an ex Metropolitan police officer who swapped his crime fighting career to reclaim golf balls from the bottom of lakes and rivers at golf courses across the UK.

John Colenutt and his team have to battle freezing water, ice, venomous snakes and aggressive fish when they dive lakes and rivers searching for golf balls.

They also have to collect everything by hand so as not to disturb or damage the bottoms of the lakes and rivers.

The golf balls are taken away, cleaned and then sold back to golfers for a fraction of the cost of new balls.

Selling old golf balls wasn’t new to John, he used to do it when he was younger.

As a student back in the 1990s, John worked at the driving range of a local golf club and he would take home discarded golf balls and sell them on eBay.

The club would throw away golf balls which were not branded with their name and so John would sell them online at £20 for a bag of 100 balls.

Taking a break from the police in 2015, John learned scuba diving while in Spain and the idea of ‘diving’ lakes and rivers to reclaim golf balls was born.

The lakes and rivers on British golf courses are a lot different to the warm seas of the Mediterranean. John and his team have had to break ice before they could dive the freezing cold waters in winter.

The colder days are also the shorter days. No one wants to stay too long in the freezing water, and who can blame them. I certainly wouldn’t want to.

I can’t say that I like the idea of battling with aggressive pike and having adders swimming by, which has happened a few times.

John services roughly 70 golf courses across England and Wales so there are a lot of lost balls to reclaim. I imagine after a couple of months of play, there are a lot more lost golf balls.

In one particular successful day, John and his team reclaimed 12,000 balls.

In a three day period they successfully reclaimed 28,500 balls.

There is definitely a market for golf balls as it is a hugely popular sport.

However…

I can’t say that I relish the idea of driving across the country to slip into freezing cold water to trawl the bottom of the lake looking for golf balls while being fish-slapped by angry pike and trying to avoid snakes that are out enjoying a swim – not that they would be swimming in winter, I assume the snakes are more of an issue during the summer months.

There are far easier (and warmer and drier) ways to make money.

I understand that not everyone wants to be relaxing in a huge comfy sofa with their slippered feet up, making money through their tablet while enjoying a mug of tea and a plate of their favourite biscuits.

Some people would rather be out in the cold and wet enjoying ‘banter’ with others, which is fine if you like that kind of thing, but I believe that is what actually keeps a lot of people financially poor… and hence why I wrote my book How To Stop Working And Make A Million Pounds Instead.

Working for other people robs you of your precious time.

Time is one of the things people want more of.

If it isn’t money they want more of, it is time.

People want more time so they can…

Indulge in their hobbies and passions.

Travel more.

Be with their friends and family.

If you are one of those people who doesn’t necessarily want more money, I am hazarding a guess that you want more free time.

Would I be right?

Maybe you are looking for a way to make enough money to live comfortably that also gives you plenty of spare time.

If that is the case, I may have just the thing for you.

There is no ice to break through so that you can slip into freezing cold water, no big fish to battle with, and certainly no snakes to dodge.

You use your phone or tablet which means that you can do it from the comfort of your own home, at a friend’s place, in a coffee shop or bar, or even in the local park.

You can do this anywhere you want.

Oh… and it is as easy as 1-2-3!
