The Next 12 Months Could Be Life Changing… If You Let Them!

Sadly, one of the biggest problems I have observed with people who wish to change their lives for the better is that they do not give enough time to the thing that will make those changes.

Each year, thousands of people start new businesses or side hustles as a way to make more money. A high percentage of them quit within a couple of months when they have not made what they were hoping for.

I personally don’t believe that people give enough time for things to grow and evolve.

At this part of the article I could add numerous analogies and stories about plants needing time to grow from a seed, and celebrities spending many years as jobbing actors, singers, musicians etc, before hitting the big time.

The reason I could use them is that they are perfect examples. It’s true, plants don’t grow overnight, and celebrities don’t usually become successful and famous within a week of starting.

There is a fair amount of time spent down in the dark trenches before you can go over the top into the light of success.

Inventors do not give up when an idea doesn’t work after the first initial test, they carry on. It is believed that Thomas Edison failed around 1,000 times when testing his new light bulb. He never gave up.

James Dyson didn’t quit when things didn’t quite work out they way he wanted.

I’m sure his first attempt at building his wildly successful vacuum cleaner didn’t go to plan, they rarely do.

Now look at him, he is so wealthy the plucky Brexiter moved his whole business to Singapore so he can carry on selling within the EU with ease. (Hmmmmm?)

Author Stephen King says that before he was published, he had to swap the pin holding up his rejection letters for a longer nail because he had so many.

Had he given up when he fell at the first hurdle… he wouldn’t be the wealthy king of horror that he is now.

The reason why he is so successful and incredibly wealthy is because he didn’t quit. He gave his work time to ‘breathe’.

You need to do the same.

If you plan on starting something new as a way to make extra money, then you really should allow yourself at least one full year to see how it pans out.

It was always reported that very few new restaurants made a profit in the first two years. That figure may be different since the pandemic.

What that tells us is that if you opened up a restaurant and closed it within six months; you could have closed it far too soon.

Obviously, restaurants are costly businesses and if you have had a really bad and expensive first six months, it may not be possible to hang on for another six months.

Sometimes if things are really bad and showing no signs of change, then cutting your losses and ending it before it gets any worse is a must.

When it comes to learning a new set of skills it can often take time for a person to master them.

Yes, you can understand what you are learning and become good-ish quite quickly, but without spending time to perfect them… you won’t get the results you desire.

Taking trading as an example, I once read about a guy who says that he made nothing for the first two years, but he now regularly makes thousands of pounds within a few minutes thanks to the skills he has mastered over the years.

It can take quite a lot of practicing to master a set of skills that can make you a lot of money. It’s often best to start slow and small and grow as you get better.

When it comes to things like trading, you have to learn to walk before you can run.

What is interesting is that 12 months is a relatively short period of time in a person’s life. When looking back, a year can fly past quickly.

When a birthday approaches, people struggle to believe that a year has passed already. The previous birthday feels like it was just a month or two ago.

Yet… when it comes to deciding to dedicate a full year to a new business venture, side hustle, or learning a new set of skills… people find it hard to do.

When looking forward, a year seems like a long time for most people.

A year is what you should really look at if you want to see positive changes in your life.

Spend a full year working on something new and see how different your life will be once that year has elapsed.

After 12 months:

  • You may be making a lot more money.

  • You may have a new set of skills that will make you a lot more money.

  • You could have a new mindset that will allow you to learn more or make more money.

Whatever it is, your life will be different from the day you started. It is called growth and expansion.

You evolve; you grow as a person, your life changes because of the new habits you have created.

Dan Edwards decided to make changes to his life after seeing what his brother-in-law was doing to make extra money.

After being shown – or should I say, after his brother-in-law had finished showing off and gloating – Dan jotted down what he had seen and gave it a go himself.

There isn’t anything too complicated to do, Dan simply makes a couple of checks and decides on what football games he wants to places bets on.

He doesn’t wait until the end of the game either, he is like the SAS, he gets in and out as fast as possible.

There’s no sitting around waiting for the final whistle. He takes his profit and runs before the game starts warming up.

PS… This shouldn’t take a year to master either. I recommend you give it a year to  make it work, but the system is incredibly simple to learn and master.

It can be done from wherever you are using a smartphone or a tablet. It takes a few minutes to learn and a few minutes to implement. It is one of the simplest methods we have ever shared.
