I’ve just read how a 17-year-old makes £4,600 per month selling sweets online.

Callum Baker started The Sweet Shack when he was just 15.

Originally he sold homemade cookies but after seeing a few videos on Tiktok of people selling sweets online, he spent £50 of his own money buying sweets and having a simple website set up.

He only had five different sweet products to sell initially, and to advertise them he shared pictures and videos on social media platforms like TikTok.

He now has over 23,000 followers on the platform.

He started with a shelf in the corner of his bedroom, then expanded to two shelves, then moved into the spare room before having a shed purposely made in his parent’s garden from where he runs his operation.

Callum now stocks over 700 products including many sweets which are not available in shops.

Since January 2022, Callum has turned over £74,000 equating to around £1,156 a week, more than £4,600 a month.

He ships between 220 and 250 orders a week, with his mother, and an employee helping to process the orders and run the business.

At the time of writing, Callum is 17 and not legally allowed to drink alcohol or vote, yet he is earning £4,600 per month and has an employee working for him!

I want you to think about this for a second…

He is making nearly £5K a month selling sweets.

He may not be selling exactly the same sweets that are available in the shops… but sweets are available all over the place these days.

As well as most shops and petrol stations selling sweets, there are vending machines in many public areas and buildings.

You would be hard pressed to walk for a few minutes in any British town and not come across a place selling sweets.

Despite sweets being available from anywhere and everywhere, Callum has built a business selling more sweets to people.

Using free social media platforms to advertise his products, and using his website to process orders, he has built a simple easy-to-manage and incredibly profitable business.

Not only is the business profitable, it has been good for him mentally.

Before starting The Sweet Shack, Callum spent some time in hospital with depression. He was at his lowest point when he started the business.

The Sweet Shack has really helped him.

It has given him a purpose in life and he is currently juggling his sweet business with college where he is working towards a career in the police force.

The business plan in a nutshell is:

  1. Offer products people want to buy.
  2. Use free social media platforms to advertise the products.
  3. Have a simple website where people can place orders easily.

That ‘s basically it.

And it can be replicated with many different products. It doesn’t just have to be sweets.

As long as you have something people want to buy and you can sell it to them for more than what it cost you to buy or make, then you should be able to make a decent profit using this method.

If you choose to focus on selling digital products, the processing of orders is done for you automatically.

Where Callum, his mother, and his employee are busy processing over 220 orders each week, with digital products, they are automatically delivered without you needing to do anything.

You can easily and quickly scale a business selling digital products up to a six-figure-a-year income.
